This is especially funny considering that, as far as I remember, Britain's "distinct culture" has a long, long history of going head-over-heels for, and then borrowing willy-nilly from, the cultures of just about any other nation they could send a boat to. So I assume this party's just going to try and forget all those times when the nation as a whole seemed to go "zomg look at all this neato stuff that comes from China/India/Egypt/[other country]! I wanna fill my whole house with it!"
