And who was the number one funding source for the IRA? That's right, the good old U.S. of A. First, second, and third generation Irish-Americans funding death and destruction over religious and political differences.
And, to be fair, on the other side there was the Ulster Defense Association, responsible for numerous pipe bombings and attacks on Catholics in Northern Ireland. And the Orange Volunteers, those for whom the UDA wasn't violent or extreme enough.
Then there's ETA, not Irish or German, but French and Spanish Basque nationalists.
And, of course, there's the myriad Red Army Factions and Red Army Brigades and GRAPO and NTA groups that have been running around Europe forever \"fighting\" fascism and imperialism, and promoting communism.
And let's not forget that all these groups have had ties to the terrorist groups in the Middle East for years.

Since when do Mexican-Americans engage in jihad either?
To reiterate what people said, yeah, the IRA.
And I'm not even touching his perception that Germans are incapable of killing anyone...

@towey:
So there's never been a single civilian casualty, then?
Patriotism is all well and good, but not blind, ignorant patriotism.
