My sister is a believer also. She loved milk, but she was diagnosed with "an allergy to milk". Couldn't even drink acidophilus. After 20 years of this condition she decided she wanted to drink milk, so she started praying and got prayer in church. She can drink milk now without getting a stomach ache.

As a child, I was allergic to lots of things, including milk.
As a teen, I was no longer allergic to any of those things.
You know, a lot of people grow out of allergies like that. I used to be lactose intolerant when I was a kid. I'm not anymore, and I never prayed about it once. Also, what's God doing answering prayers about milk allergies when innocent people all over the world are dying in wars and starving to death?
As many have already said, you can out grow allergies quite normally. Children of my generation, when breastfeeding was "icky", often have severe milk allergies due to the influx of hormone laden milk that was fed to us. (Not to mention missing all those immune boosters.) As I've reached adulthood, I can tolerate small to moderate amounts of milk as my body has adapted. Go gen X!
How come God cures minor annoyances, but when it comes to cancer, AIDs, and epidemics his hands are tied?

There is a difference between lactose intolerance and milk allergy. Lactose intolerant individuals lack alleles of the gene that continues to produce enzymes to process lactose after a certain age. Lactose tolerant individuals are actually in the minority globally. It's rather difficult to get that allele after you're conceived.
An allergy is an excessive response of the immune system. This can sometimes correct itself through time or desensitization treatments.

For the record, I had milk sensitivity for a period of time. It passed on its own. Sometimes it's just a case of your internal fauna being out of whack.

My brother had severe asthma as a kid and had to take daily medications along with an inhaler for emergencies. One day he decided he didn't want to take the pills anymore and started regular swimming to strengthen his lungs. Today, his asthma is long gone and he seldom needs the inhaler. Did God do this one too?
