The point of debate is not to try and grind the \"enemy\" into the ground. The point is to learn something from the other side and maybe find common ground and actually work to get something accomplished.
If you are unwilling to ever move from your premise, then the debate is pointless -- you are losing the debate.

It clearly is a waste of time debating you, as you'll only go "lalalala, I won't listen to you".
