This is just plain fucked up. It has to be said though, the governments of the western world don't seem to really give a shit about much of what goes on in the medieval theocracy of Saudi Arabia. When an upstart like Saddam (No less of a maggot than the Saudi royals, just less important) thumbs his nose at the west, America invades with the UK's, Australias and Polands help and the rest of the Western world quibbles but basically doesent give a shit.
This sort of inhuman barbarity in Saudiland barely raises a whimper in Whitehall or the White House because there's oil under them there sands so our leaders buy their gas and leave them to beat, rape and whip their women in peace.

I'd say the evidence presented gives a rather resounding NO. Sharia says, and with that, they let the men go scot free, and leave the victim to be punished. And since it's in strict accordance to Sharia law, they need not lose any sleep, as they were just following the laws of the land.
