You mean that Crusades which killed what? 10,000 people? As compared to say secularists who murdered what? A billion or so in the name of socialism and comunism? Golly- that’s quite an arguemt you got htere- And JFYI- the crusades were carried out by secularists- commissioned by the government- and who were NOT true Christians- but who took it upon themselves to abuse the position of hte church at hte behest of a corrupt governing body to which they were beholden because they had sold their souls for the sake of power and corrupt ‘prestige’ and favour from the government-

Cripes- Everytime this accusaiton is brought up this needs to be pointed out- but folks like you just simply ignore it, Deny that those that carried out those terrible orders were infact NOT TRUE Christians, but wolves in sheeps clothing. The Spirit of God was NOT in them and it shoudl be obvious to anyone- but apparently, some are so lustful to indict the whole of Christianity that they will ignore these FACTS just to satisfy their own anti-Christian sentiminets- But- if it makes you feel better about your spiritual condition- then by all means- keep bringign this up as though it indicts the whole of Christianity- Who by the way- were murdered in the millions, and continue to be murdered by the 100’s of 1000’s even today. So yes, let’s throw some numbers aro8und, and pretend that religion is the the problem, when the FACT is that it is secularists posing as Christians who carry out hte orders of who again? Oh yeah- more secularists

Oh those crusading Christians were either "not true Christians" (bullshit) or their crime wasn't that great? Says you! Let's hear it from the Christians who were there.

Streets filled with blood, civilians put to the sword, all done by "pilgrims" who "wept for joy" after taking the "holy" city. This is your faith, naked and unconstrained by science and secular society, aint it a pretty thing?

If the population during the dark ages had been as large as it is today, you can bet your ass that the death toll would have been a hell of a lot higher than 10,000. The world-wide population during the crusades was only fraction of what it is now (less than a billion), so 10,000 deaths was a fairly large chunk of Europe's population. Considering the population differences, those deaths would have been the equivalent of 120,000ish deaths in the modern world. Keeping in mind that they also lacked the technology and easy access to remote populations that we have today, the death toll would, in fact, have risen even further if these events took place in modern times. Include all the people killed in other religious genocides between 500AD and 1600AD as well as the 'heathens' executed for various reasons, and... well, you get the picture. And this is only the dark ages. Imagine if we included every single person killed over religion, from the tribes slaughtered by the Hebrews to the people killed in modern terrorism... the number soars well into the hundreds of millions.

At any rate, 10,000 people is still a lot of fucking people being murdered over religion. It doesn't matter if it's one person or a million -- it's still horrific.

So basically your saying that christianity can't be blamed for atrocities commited by christians, in the name of christianity, because they were not "True Christians(TM)". But atheists should be held guilty for any and every action commited by another atheist.

On top of that you are also saying that atheists should be held guilty of the actions of other ideologies (i.e. Communism, socialism, etc.) because some of the adherents to those ideologies also happened to be atheists.

Last, but by no means least, you also try to lay the blame for every single misdeed commited in the name of christianity at the feet of atheists by implying, if not outright stating, that any christian who commits any act you disagree with must be an evil atheist pretending to be a christian.

Your full of shit, you want to have the praise for the good your religion has done, but you don't want to face the condemnation for the evil it has done. Is your faith so fragile that you can accept your religion for what it is and what it has done?
