[I won't insult you or call you stupid for believing in something you were brought up in. It's human nature to believe in something told to them over and over again, reinforced by our parents and role models.]
That's wise. Because being brought up a Christian is not why I believe. I believe because God has made Himself known to me in many ways, many times, and because the bible verifies itself to be a product of supernatural intelligence, and because science and philosophy alike point to a personal, all-powerful creator.

Did you know that the Bible contains a code using the meanings of the names of the patriarchs that forms a litteral, ledgible, readable prophecy in sentance form of the coming of Jesus Christ? You see, this is something which man could not have fabricated in writting the Books of the Bible. It verifies that the Bible is the product of God, not men.

Cool! Can you send me out a "save the date" reminder for when Jesus is coming back? I really would hate to miss that one.
"...and because the bible verifies itself..."
Oh jesus that's some fail right there.
"God has made Himself known to me in many ways, many times..."
How? When? Where? Or are you telling fibs for Jesus?
"Did you know that the Bible contains a code ............"
Explanation or citation please
What on earth do you mean by "meanings of the names of the patriarchs .." or this just babble.
this is the thing with these people, no matter how reasonably, intelligently, patiently or respectfully you come at them, they always find new and unbelievable ways in which to twist and mangle logic beyond anything recognizable by the rest of humanity. and i think that's why this site exists, because mockery is the only logical conclusion to dealing with fundies.
The Bible is contradictory and extremely outdated.
On a very few things, it's correct,
on several things, it's contradictory,
and on everything else it either provides no proof or it has been disproven.
That's wise. Because being brought up a Mormon is not why I believe. I believe because God has made Himself known to me in many ways, many times, and because the Book of Mormon verifies itself to be a product of supernatural intelligence, and because science and philosophy alike point to a personal, all-powerful creator.
That's wise. Because being brought up a Muslim is not why I believe. I believe because God has made Himself known to me in many ways, many times, and because the Qur'an verifies itself to be a product of supernatural intelligence, and because science and philosophy alike point to a personal, all-powerful creator.
Need I go on?

Does that code exist pre edits or post edits?
"because the bible verifies itself"
Yeah, and there is a place called hogwarts where a kid named Harry learns to be the greatest wizard of his time
It's true, the Harry Potter books verify themselves
this is something which man could not have fabricated
Sure they could. They could change the Bible after the fact to agree with them (see 1 John 5:7-8, which most Bible scholars agree was added after the fact to support the concept of the Trinity). They could cherry-pick stuff to create a coded message. They could invent far-fetched interpretations of vague statements that defy common sense. All of these are done regularly by people trying to prove one hare-brained theory or another about the Bible.

The same Jesus that said no man will know when it will happen...?
Because being brought up a Muslimis not why I believe. I believe because Allah has made Himself known to me in many ways, many times, and because the Koran verifies itself to be a product of supernatural intelligence, and because science and philosophy alike point to a personal, all-powerful creator.

Did you know that the Koran contains a code using the meanings of the names of the patriarchs that forms a litteral, ledgible, readable prophecy in sentance form of the coming of Mohammed? You see, this is something which man could not have fabricated in writting the Books of the Koran. It verifies that the Koran is the product of Allah, not men.
Fixed.
*sigh* Just more of the "Bible Code"/"Omega Code" bullshit.
I read once that an Israeli scientist applied the "Bible Code" technique to the Hebrew translation of Gone With The Wind , and came up with several accurate "predictions."

If that's the case then your creator is as dumb as a Bronze Age uneducated Middle Eastern goat herder. Supernatural intelligence my ass.

Did you know they can do that Bible Code thing with other books like Moby Dick and Harry Potter ? It proves absolutely nothing except that you're a gullible idiot.
"I believe God has made Himself known to me in many ways, many times..."
If you have personal revelation from God, you don't need to believe, you have proof. Only proof to you, granted, but it doesn't require belief.
I recommend you look up arguments for the existence of god, and their refutations. And believe me, they all have completely logical refutations. Yes, your vaunted irreducible complexity is among them. It is called the teleological argument. It was there long before Behe. It was refuted long before Behe.
Sure your upbringing had nothing to do with why you interpret everything around as "God making Himself known", when most unindoctrinated folk wouldn't see it that way. Also:
"the bible verifies itself to be a product of supernatural intelligence"
LOLHOW?
" because science and philosophy alike point to a personal, all-powerful creator."
LOLNO.
And finally: LOLBIBLECODE.
because the bible verifies itself
I know a guy (we call him Murphy, but none of us knows his real name) who's in&out of the slammer, petty thief and perpetual fuck-up and The Murph verifies himself to tell the truth always. I don't know why in hell the cops just don't think so...unbelievers all.
"...the Bible is the product of God, not men. "
Which version of "the Bible" contains the code? Bonus points for explaining how, if the Bible is indeed the product of God, there are so many different versions, many of which do not entirely agree with one another.
God has made himself known to you? Are you receiving revelations? Therefore you are a prophet! Jesus warned about "false prophets". In other words, if you think you are receiving revelations, then you are satan.
Wow, with only two errors of grammar and three spelling errors, you're almost too literate to be anything other than a Troll.
There's four appallingly stupid claims in there.
Is this numerical sequence a hidden code?
If humans can find and understand the code, they can also create the code. As we have created the gods in our image, they are no more intelligent than we are. The Bible is contradictory, scatty, longwinded, and it clearly talks about "the World" as the Middle East and the areas around it, and as the sun orbits the Earth. A supernaturally intelligent god ought to know that that is just a very small part of the world, and that Earth is just a small rock in a vast universe, orbiting the sun. Science and philosophy do most certainly NOT point to a personal all-powerful creator. Philosophy points in all possible directions; that is its job, and science points to a gradual process of random mutations and natural selection, aka Evolution.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
