People fought and died so that we could say a prayer anywhere at anytime as individuals. This athiest wants to tell us when and where we CAN'T pray.
NO ONE has that right.

Who, exactly, is denyong you the right to pray? If you're thinking about taking prayer out of schools, then that is false, the students are free to pray at their own initiative.
And if you had it your way, you would force other to pray where you wanted, when you wanted, to who you wanted.
No, we don't. You can pray whenever you want, wherever you want. That's not something we care to bother with: we don't believe it works but it's your right to do it. The only thing that can't happen is a teacher cannot lead his/her public school class in prayer (but kids can still pray on their own).
"People fought and died so that we could say a prayer anywhere at anytime as individuals."
And for a host of other rights, including the rights of non-believers.
"This athiest wants to tell us when and where we CAN'T pray."
Not even close. Pray wherever you want, whenever you damn well please. However, this isn't a Christian Fascist state where compulsory payer is legal; in the U.S. forcing students to pray is unconstitutional.

No, we want to tell you why praying is stupid, and is a waste of your time.
People fought and died for our right not to be subjected to your nonsense in publicly funded places and activities.
You do not have the right to "say a prayer anywhere at anytime as individuals." You can, however, pray silently anywhere you like.
If prayer is between you and your God, why do you feel you need to pray out loud?
No one is telling you that you can't pray. You just can't force others to join your activity. No one has that right.
As an aside, though, I think Jesus told believers to pray in secret, lest prayers be seen as self-glorification. Just thought you might like to hear what Jesus actually taught about prayer. Not for public consumption.
You can promote prayer in schools to our children, we can promote thinking in your church amongst your pews.
If you don't like it, tough. It's fair enough.
Pray wherever and whenever you like. Just don't disturb or bother other people.
And whatever you do, don't pray for me. It's insulting.
Well, I'd be more than a little concerned if the bus driver took his hands off the wheel and started praying, and if he did so, he should rightly lose his job--he's a danger to everyone on the road. But you'd support his right to do so, right?
Here's some good news for you: you're totally fucking wrong, as usual.
The Colonists did not fight the Crown for the repeal of a prayer tax or for the right of free assembly as individuals.
That atheist has the right of free speech, even if he makes an ass of himself when he opens his mouth. You have the right to ignore him.
If your god himself showed up as a burning azalea or something and told everyone to cease and desist in praying, would you not have to listen?
You sure the name on the Birth Certificate wasn't "Migraine?"
No, we're telling you that you don't have the right to make US pray. Or anyone else. You can pray as much as you like, as long as you don't force anyone else to accomodate you to do it.
So that means no time set aside in schools.
Actually, yes... we DO have that right. When "prayer" consists of shouting at women exercising their right to choose, and calling them "whore" and "slut", we DO have the right to shut you up because that's harassment. When your "prayer" is disruptive, we have that right. Shut the fuck up, and do what Jesus told you to do -- PRAY IN PRIVATE.
Here we go again.
You can pray where and when you want. Just try to pray silently, or quietly when in public places with people who may not share your religious views.
Oh, and most of us don't appreciate obnoxious attempts to disguise preaching and proselytizing as prayer. And really, why else would you be so bent on praying out loud in public? Surely your omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent god can hear your every thought, wherever you are.
Actually, YOU don't have the right to pray when it infringes on the rights of others.
Like when a teacher is in school, representing the public education system.
meagain, you're an idiot, shutup, sit down, have a cup a tea and fucking relax. No one's trying to oppress you, they're trying to keep you from oppressing them...
Remember, people fought and died so everyone had the right to pray OR NOT pray
I just want to say that I am puzzled by the name of that site.
It claims to be Good News Cafe and yet all I can see is a bunch of idiots constantly moaning and whingeing ,hardly seems good news to me .
If some sort of trades description act was enforceable online ,it would be renamed the Moaning Whingers Cafe.
Pray away dumbo brain. I encourage fundamentalists to pray as often as they want, whenever they want, and where ever they want. That is not a problem to atheists. How does that hurt anyone? No one can stop you praying if that's what you want to do. Why should they? Unless you want to be stopped because you enjoy being persecuted.
In that case, you should keep your religion to yourself. Because you have NO right to force your beliefs down other peoples' throats.
After all, remember this little titbit of Scripture?:
Matthew 6:6: "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly."
Consider this and what I've said. Equally, people fought and died for we to have the right to NOT believe in an invisible sky wizard, nor have that concept forced upon us. That's what freedom is all about. If you say or think otherwise, you're a Fascist and are anti-freedom.
tl;dr: This fundie (& their ilk) wants to tell us that we must think like him/her. Hypocrite, much? Sauce for the goose, and all that jazz.
Think I give a shit about when and where you want to pray? Pray all you want, just don't expect me to join in or even sit quietly and wait for you to finish.
Trust me I got better things to do than to tell you what to do with your life. It's your time, you waste it any way you want.
People fought and died so that we could say a prayer anywhere at anytime as individuals. This athiest wants to tell us when and where we CAN'T pray.
The only prohibition we are imposing on you is the one inherent in the very right you just affirmed - you have the right to public prayer as individuals, not as agents of any political or state run organisation - ie, not as a teacher during school hours or on school property, not a solider on duty, not a judge in court, not a policeman on the beat, not a councillor in session.
Pray all you fucking want. Do it until you're blue in the face, for all I care. Do not expect me to do so too. Do not try and force me too...and most importantly, STOP TRYING TO FUCKING LEGISLATE YOUR RELIGION BEFORE YOU START WHINING ABOUT NO ONE HAVING THE RIGHT TO DO SOMETHING!
People fought and died so that we could say a prayer anywhere at anytime as individuals.
No, They fought and died for freedom, for liberty, for everyone .
This athiest wants to tell us when and where we CAN'T pray.
The general view of atheists is that we don't give a fuck when or where you pray, is not as if anyone could actually stop someone from praying. All we ask is that there is no state mandated, state enforced prayer, and that when praying you don't feel the need to disrupt those around you. After all, your own holy book says that you should not pray in public as a show of piety, but to pray in private away from the eyes of others.
NO ONE has that right
No, they don't. But that doesn't seem to stop you people from trying to tell us what we do or do not believe, think, or feel, or thinking that prayer should be forced on our children in schools, or that religion should be enforced in the military. "Judge not lest ye be judged." you should remember that.
More like atheists want to tell you that you cant make other people pray.
Also i don't really think anyone died so people would have the right to pray. I mean, people never did not have that right in American History.
Wrong! You can pray any time you want, as long as you don't force anyone else to participate.
Who fought for the right to pray, btw? It must have been a long time ago, as Christianity has been the dominant religion in the Western World for over thousand years.
The US constitution guarentees your right as an individual to pray anytime you want.
What you may not do is force others to follow your beliefs, or obstruct others from doing legal things.
Even a cursory look at history demonstrates that it is, overwhelmingly, religious folks who are insistent on telling others when, where and how they can pray.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
