Quote# 5912

See, living fossils (like the coelcanth and the Loch Ness monster) prove that there haven't been millions of years, because if there had been millions of years, such creatures would have died long ago, or at least have evolved into a new form... Just a thought.

Just a misguided, unsupported thought.

\"See, living fossils (like ... the Loch Ness monster) prove....\"

Uh, young padawan, you might want to take note of something. In order to use something like this as \"proof\" of something else, you must first prove that THIS exists. No one has done it yet.

The rest of the comment is tripe as well, indicating a complete lack of understanding of how evolution operates. Get out of the Jedi Temple and read a real science book sometime.

Really? He tries to use Nessie as a disproof of evolution?

Prove Nessie, then we'll talk.

I suppose fundies are well versed in using completely fictional characters to prove their point so they might as well throw Nessie into the pot as well.

Then there is the usual complete misunderstanding of how evolution works so, yeah, this is basic fundie 101 stuff.

Rush Limbaugh is the only known living fossil in existence. Unless you know otherwise.

Don't even know if nessie exists, and the coelcanth had no reason to evolve. Simple as that.
