Quote# 5913

[Explaining why Mosaic law allowed some rape victims to be stoned]Naturally, it's not obvious now, but then if a woman (virgin woman) is having sex with someone with no effort in getting away even though she's in a well-populated area, she was probably just screwing with the political power of her household (because rape was a primarily political act).

Because being raped is empowering for women?

@Rahab: Well, he's probably thinking of times where women have claimed rape in order to get back at the men who spurned them, such as the pharoah's wife with Joseph, or in the cases where white women cried rape against their black lovers.

Still, that doesn't excuse this cretin's bile. Maybe she can't get away because her attacker's holding a weapon or she's too scared? What if the rape victim was underage? Should a ten-year-old girl be stoned because she couldn't get away from her thirty-year-old attacker? This guy's nuts.
