how much remorse do you feel, then, when you kill a paramecium?

When fundies start a campaign to make stepping on ants or using antibiotics illegal, I'll start believing that they are unselfishly looking at life with reverence.

And don't forget all the spores you kill by clapping your hands! From now on, just give a mole-friendly thumbs up.

\"one-called baby\"
I just have to call this dude out on his spelling error. Otherwise I will not sleep.
Anyways, if he truly feels that way, then he should stop using Lysol and anti-bacterial soap.

and yet you're immune system kills invading bacteria all the time. if you can get rid of a bacterium why can't I get rid of a zygote?

Its being 'life' has nothing to do with it. No one's debating that a zygote, embryo, or foetus isn't alive. Dumbass.

When a man ejaculates, several million sperm are released. One survives, the others die. Is he still guilty of genocide?

I would just like to point out that the ANTI-abortion argument is that life---in any form---shouldn't be killed.
And we see the numerous problems with this in the comments. What the question is is this: Is it somehow immoral? I'm sure you don't think it's immoral to kill an amoeba.
And that means you debunked your own argument. *Gives a mold-friendly thumbs up.*

Is it murder to kill an ameoba then?

No one doubts that a single celled organism is alive. The issue is with whether or not an activated egg constitutes a human being. Here's a good rule of thumb: It doesn't.

If God cared about life wouldn't He have given women a uterus that actually didn't expel ~50% percent of fertilized eggs?

So wait... does this mean amoeba and paramecium are humans? Do they get civil rights too? Can they vote? Is it murder to kill one?

So by that logic, killing paramecium is evil. Do you wish to pass a law banning the killing of single-celled organisms in general?

Alive, certainly. Conscious, no. Human, of course. A "human being" or "person"? FUCK NO.

But a one celled baby could grow into a human. It shouldn't be obliterated lightly. A one celled paramecium will never grow. Plus it's much, much smaller than a zygote. Much smaller. And size is very important in this sorta thing, y'know?
Anyway, Pro-life is about preserving human life. Human life. If a zygote is terminated before it's considered human, a life that would have continued if not interfered with is ended. Something that would become human was alive and has been killed. That is what is being objected too.
I would like to point out that some of the comments on this page could be considered for the site. Particularly Lithp's assertion that Anti-Abortion is about saving the bacterium.

There is no such thing as a "one celled baby".
