Quote# 5924

bookluver12, Thank you so much for making this post!! The wrongs of contraception are so overlooked... Contraception, being a means of preventing the birth of another of God's creations, is very wrong, indeed.

By that logic, abstinence is also evil. Wonder if you'd say that to Jesus?

anti-nonsense

There are too many of us for the earth to hold already. Don't make it worse.
Oh yes and:Every Sperm is Sacred

So does not having sex.

MURDERING SPERM IS A SIN AGAINST GOD!1

So I've sinned every time I bang my wife and she doesn't conceive?

4/20/2007 3:54:47 PM

Skeptical

Anti-nonsense, in America and Europe the birth rate is below replacement level. In Russia the population is collapsing so badly the government wants to pay them to have babies. In China the one-child policy has led to a generation of adult men who can't find mates, resulting in population collapse and brutality. The only exploded population is the elderly, and once they die off the population count will reflect that.

If you're going to argue the stupidity of the statement, don't use nonsense.

Are you sure about that, Skeptical? I'd heard in America the birth rate was right around replacement level - not below it.

And China's problem isn't with the one-child policy - it's with the fact that for years, people killed female fetuses and babies because if they were limited to having one kid, it damn well better be a boy.

Giga Guess

If god would reach down, and give these women everything they ever needed to care for and tend to the child that results, I would be on board. However, that's not the case, so all that happens is you people force a person who doesn't want or is not ready for a child, with the justification of "You should have thought about that before you opened your legs!" No offer of assistance. No "Christian Love." Just a big ol' "Fuck you, you're on your own."

@fuzon
Of course not. You did your godly duty. It's her fault for not accepting your great and gracious gift.

BUT THE CREATION DOES NOT EVEN EXIT IN ANY FORM AT THE POINT WHEN CONTRACEPTIVES ARE USED!!!

THAT'S WHY THEY'RE CONTRA-CEPTIVES!!!

If he intended life to be born then a thin layer of latex wouldn't stop him. Since he's all powerful according to you.

Would you rather have everyone having millions of kids?

So we all just copulate at every chence we get huh? Failure to copulate is also preventing births.

You are obviously a douchebag.

Is it a sin every time I get my period? Because that's one egg that was never fertilized that could have become one of God's creations. But having sex outside wedlock is also a sin. So do I abstain from sex and keep more of God's potential creations from existing or should I have sex constantly in order to make sure that I never keep another potential creation of God from being born?

Swede

I have not used any contraception for years (13, at least). Where are God's creations?

Every child has a right to be loved, respected an cherished, from birth until at least the age of 18.
Children should not be mass-produced, just because others say you ought to have kids.

6/18/2010 1:36:33 PM

That includes abstinence too, have you thought about that?

1/30/2011 10:42:47 AM

CanadianBroad

Okay, but by that reasoning, abstinence is wrong, too, because that also prevents the birth of a baby. Unless a god decides to knock up another chick down here, that is. LoL!!

And, by the way, what about all those babies that god aborts every month? What was that stat, again? 1/3 of all pregnancies end in spontaneous (for Fundies: goddidit) abortion?

Dr. Shrinker

Your god must be incredibly incompetent to be thwarted so easily.
