How is it [creating a seemingly old universe] a deception when God tells us He did it? A deception would be to do something and ty to decieve someone into believing you did it another way. But God tells us exactly how and when He did it. There is only a 'deception' if you refuse to listen to God's Word and then blame Him for it.
