Quote# 5950

Oh really? Lets compare knowledge. Take your IQ and add it to the IQ of every one of your sources... compared to God, you know just short of nothing which is also what we know compared to God. Yet you have the gall to claim to know better than He in how supernovae come about and how we are able to see them. And you wonder why we don't listen?

Well, we keep offering God opportunities to take IQ tests, but he never shows up.

Hey, scientists just speak for their observations and theories. Guys like Rom831 claim to speak for God; so who really has a problem with hubris here?

So when did your imaginary friend take an IQ test?

Rom831, by the way, what is YOUR IQ score? Just asking...

And when this guy called "God" has a different opinion about supernovae, then I'm completely open to listen to him. I'm really asking for it. To have a scientific discussion with the most intelligent being must be incredible. And I said that I will listen to HIM, NOT to YOU, because YOU are not god, okay?

I don't claim to know better then god does, because god does not exist. Prove he exists, then we'll talk.

God's IQ = 0. The average Rupture Retard's is only slightly higher.

You do understand the fallacy in your "reasoning", don't you? It's based on the premise that god exists. If there was the slightest shred of evidence that he does exist and that he created everything, well sure, then nobody would dare to suggest they're smarter than him. But considering that the evidence is wholly non-existent, the rational amongst us will carry on finding other ways to explain supernovae and everything else.

God has to submit to an IQ test first. And, by the way, IQ has very little to do with WHAT you know, it's all about HOW you use your brain. If you use it at all, that is.

So, what does God say about supernovae?
We know why you people don't listen; you are willfully ignorant and will keep as far away from knowledge as you can.

Even an existent god wouldn't have an IQ -- you can't have a score on a test without taking the test, and IQ isn't actually a measure of any single trait.

@ Swede --

And, by the way, IQ has very little to do with WHAT you know, it's all about HOW you use your brain.

IQ tests are quite aggressively biased in terms of race, class, culture, and cognitive style. And despite attempts to the contrary, it still relies on a very specific set of expected knowledge-based competencies. (In a rather ironic twist, having too much knowledge or skill in some sections can lead to a reduced score -- it varies from test to test, but anything socially- or humanities-based tends to grade performance based on comparisons to a general-competence level and will thus mark down anyone who has specific competence in those fields.)

Do we believe we know better than your god? No that's silly, comparing knowledge with fictional characters is a daft exercise.

Now you on the other hand, yes we know better than you cause you're an ignorant fundie.

Please produce God's IQ, along with test date.

I claim to know better than Albus Dumbledore also, as he doesn't exist either.

Actually this is the joy of atheism. We don't believe we know better than him cause we believe that he
DOES NOT EXIST.
