Anyone who takes the Bible literally is an idiot. It has obvious falsehoods in it, even when one takes possible translation errors out of the equations (rabbits do not chew cud, stripped sticks have nothing to do with spotted goats).
It wasn't written by God or Christ, it is the work of men, and uneducated, ignorant, bigoted men at that.

If anyone claims to be taking the Bible literally, while "interpreting" its literal meanings, (because it's the only way to avoid the contradictions) they are hypocrites and the Messiah didn't like hypocrites... but that's open to interpretation, isn't it?

Jesus also didn't like fundy conservative religionists, which is what you seem to be. So don't judge others when you yourself are guilty of breaking your own law. And second, look in Galatians, Paul says that the story about Abraham, Hagar, and Sarah is allegory, and not literal. Peter said in his second letter that the story of Noah's Ark was allegory. So don't go claiming things about your book when you haven't read it.

Most of you (catholics and many other sects.) do believe in evolution as fact, but they aren't hypocrites. They are realists, in their veiw God is more wonderful, creative, and unexplainable than the limited God you believe in.
You believe in a God that is just as narrow minded, bigoted, and stupid as you are because it makes you feel comfortable in believeing in him.
How many scriptures say that the ways of God are unknowable?...how many say that no human can comprehend the mind of God?...yet you say that you believe to know his will?
You are the hypocrite and worse than that you hold christian belief up to ridicule by saying that to be a "true christian" you must deny reality.
