This country was founded on His Word, and was understood to be a Christian nation for most of its history until the godless evo-atheists turned to the courts. It’s only for so long that Christians will sit idly by while this persecution continues. God doesn’t smile on nations that treat the Gospel with such disdain.

How? What makes the Bible so different. If you take into accounts all the different religions and myths and creation stories, it's a drop in the bucket. What makes it different?

If the courts are siding with evolution and secularism, then what does that tell you about the Constitution. The United States was founded on many ideas, most from the Greeks and European Enlightenment, and even some from the Mayflower Compact and the Iroquois Confederacy.

I just want to ask a question? Who is persecuting Christians? It can't be the atheists because of Christians it's impossible for an atheist to even hold public office in most states. So who? Are Christians persecuting Christians.
But this is stupid. Having to share rights is not persecution. Persecution is loosing your tax exempt status while other churches maintain it. Persecution is being forced into squalid marginalized settlements. Persecution is loosing your right to representation. Persecution is everything you people have done to the Native Americans and the blacks, and tried your damn hardest with the Jews.

Actually, the US was a Pastafarian nation from its birth to 1978, when the people of America turned their backs on his noodliness and embraced the evil that is Taco Bell.

Angered, the FSM used His omnipotent power to change everyone's memories, and all the history books, so that it would look like the country was set up as a secular democracy by a bunch of deists, then controlled by a Christian majority that hated freedoms given to other religions by the constitution, but lacked the balls to do anything about it in case they lost their own freedoms. The ensuing storm of bigotry and bile as the many groups of people He had caused to believe subtly different, and mutually exclusive, fairy-tales fell on each other with accusation and counter-accusation will persist until we reject the evils of enchiladas, tortillas and burritos and once again eat pasta as He intended. When this happens, pease shall reign again, for truly is it said, the penne is mightier than the sword.

This nation was understood to be "Christian" because the Christians managed to run everything, not because the place was meant to be a "Christian Nation". This country is supposed to be a place where -everyone- can have "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" and congress cannot limit what that is so long as it doesn't infringe on others' rights. What you are trying to do is infringe on the rights of anyone who is not your kind of Christian (yeah, there are Christians that really don't like how bad you make them look), and that just can't be stood for. Most of us DO NOT want to get rid of Christians or force them to follow our principles and practices (just because a law exists that allows gays to be married, for instance, does not require you to go marry someone the same sex as you), we only want to be able to live our lives the way WE choose, which is our right, just as it is your right to live the. . . Christian lifestyle.

Your persecution complex is incredibly tiresome.

I'm just surprised the fundies haven't gotten their panties in a twist at Gainax about their use of Christian symbolism in "Neon Genesis Evangelion". BTW, have you seen "Soukyuu no Fafner"? It's NGE for Norse Pagans (with a few Nietzchean elements thrown in, a la "Xenosaga").

Apparently he does. Look at all the liberal, predominantly non-theistic nations in Europe, or look at Japan. So you're going to have to prove that too.
