It's only contradictory if you are not "rightly dividing the word of truth." It's the skeptics who always find contradictions
I'll bet you blame the victim too. Of course it's the skeptic that finds the contradictions, because the true believer will always rationalize them away, or just ignore them outright.
but if they would repent and submit themselves to Christ and get transformed, the truth would start to open up to them.
If your "holy book" is useless unless your already a true believer then why do you keep telling me that I just need to read the bible? How is someone supposed to know what the bible says of christ if they are unable to properly understand the bible without have first accepted that everything they don't know must be true?
Their very attitudes keep them from the knowledge they need desperately.
A plea to consequences? I'm willing to bet that I know your bible far, far better than you. Know why? Because I've read the parts you find either disturbing, distasteful, and contradictory. It's easy to brush off the contradictions when you don't even know what they are.
We do better when we are under a good Bible teacher who has the gift of teaching
Translation: We do better when we have someone to tell us what the bible says because reading it is hard.
and also reading those books and Christian literature that help us see the truth as it is.
Isn't that bordering on heresy?
The Lord will direct our steps when we allow him to.
Or you will wander around aimlessly claiming that.
