Okay, maybe this is going to sound nuts but I'm just telling something I read somewhere else.
Some guy said he had a very strange experience a night or two ago. It seems that his dog got "the shakes" all over. He kept trying to comfort the dog and hold it for a long time, to no avail. And, no, there was no scary thunderstorm or anything that would reasonably cause it. It just kept shaking.
Then, when he thought about it the next morning, he thought it was either: a) an evil presence in the room that the dog possibly sensed; or b) that animals, who are very sensitive to things like coming earthquakes and whatever may have possibly sensed the rapture is upon us.
So I just wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced their pets behaving strangely the last day or so? It gives me CHILLS to think the guy's pet may have sensed the rapture is close!!!

Okay, maybe this is going to sound nuts...
Most people have mental filters that prevent them from voicing ideas that need to be prefaced with that disclaimer. For example: "Okay, maybe this is going to sounds nuts, but I think our waitress is trying to poison us."
Rapture is the final call right? Your dog was scared. It must have sinned.
My dogs were really happy (full moon and all that). They must be saved.
I'll miss them since I am damned.
My cats on the otherhand just slept and asked for food. Guess maybe they
are smarter.

Or it heard some other noise and was afraid. Cowardly dogs do that all the time - my parents' dogs, for example.
And if he somehow sensed the Rapture, why are you still here?
My dog used to get seizures all the time. The first time it happened it kinda freaked us out. We took him to the vet and he explained what likely happened.
On the other hand, when there was an evil, or at least unknown, presence nearby, the dog would bark.
You are an idiot.
At 4AM, like clockwork, my dog starts howling and barking and shrieking.
It's because he can't open the door himself and he needs to go out, but nobody's awake.
Also, he kind of uses it as sonar--he's gone blind from old age.
I had another dog who shook uncontrollably, but it turned out I had an epileptic dog.
Okay, maybe this is going to sound nuts..
"nuts" is not exactly the phrase I'd use but...
"Complete and utter batshit insane" sounds more like it.
"Okay, maybe this is going to sound nuts"
I got that far and decided to skip the rest.
Edit: Noticed it was Rapture Retards and couldn't resist the temptation. On hindsight I would've been better off not reading the quote. Words fail me.
the dog had a seizure
so when grandma starts shakin', we know the rapture is closer?
Psittacosis
"Meanwhile, I had porridge for breakfast. It is an infallible sign of the End Times."
Na, just a sign your house will be invaded by a blonde haired girl with locks of gold when you leave. she will eat your food, sit in your chair, and sleep in your bed
Okay, maybe this is going to sound nuts
Yep, it does.
Alternatively you could just admit to making all this up - something, you read "somewhere else" that "some guy" claimed but you believe it 100%. Amazing.
Please be poe...
1. Dog was sick
2. Something prowling around outside the house scared the dog
3. Dog's owner was emotionally upset and dog picked up on it
4. Dog was lonely because owner never gets off RR (i have a pooch on my lap right now forcing me to type one-handed LOL)
Or it was cold, or it had eaten a mild poison (thank whoever it was only mild if that was the case, since nobody thought it important to find vet care) or something else that didn't agree with it, or it has an occasional nerve issue, or. . . .
Yeah, why does everything always have to have a supernatural explanation?
Hi Waiting, just a quick question, any sign yet of President Obama's predicted persecution of the Rapture Ready site, it's been a good few weeks since the inauguration?
That's good news for you then, the whooshfest is close possibly? When you say close, which side of eternity do you mean?
Dogs get anxiety disorders. It could easily just be that something around him is making him anxious.
Contrast that with: My dog senses God is coming.
Which one sounds more likely?
Jeez. The poor dog could've had a seizure or something... When an animal acts very strange it often means they have a medical problem and should be taken to the vet.
Apparently raptards are in their own special class of stupid pet owners.
Well, my dog ate cat poop, does that count?
Maybe your dog just wanted a hug? Dogs need love too, ya know.
Or maybe his dog had St. Vitus' Dance?
Not everything is 'supernatural, you know. That 'fire' that falls from Heaven? It's called Lightning. And the day even the church admitted it wasn't the Wrath of God was when they fitted lightning conductors. And was thus the first day that Reason won over superstition. And Reason has been winning ever since.
Actually yes that happened to my Grandma's dog the other day but he is old and dying :(
Other animals are just like people. They have their fears (rational or irrational), can get lonely, have medical conditions/get sick just like us.
You are not far off with the quakes. They seem to be slightly sensitive to smaller quakes that we may not detect easily. Means fuck all about "the rapture" though.
The ideas of reference just keep getting more bizarre on RR, don't they! Cuckoo... Cuckoo... Cuckoo... Next thing we know, the toaster will malfunction and THAT will be a sign of an impending rapture! Sheesh... Crazy, crazy stuff...
Okay, maybe this is going to sound nuts
Oh, it definitely sounds nuts. At least that you believe that it's a sign of the rapture.
Because as the other four pages of comments have pointed out to you already, there is absolutely no normal reason why his dog had the shakes.
Confused?
