There is no set meaning in life, and people must choose to find, create, and assign their own meanings. God is used as an attempt to put false meaning on things without the responsibility of choice.
Also, seriously you must be a fucking troll.

I'm of the belief that all florists need to be hunted down wherever they're hiding, apart from those ones who haven't killed any children, i got no beef with them.
Fuck off, cuntface.

I could have sworn you were the ones with the Big Book of murder, slavery, mayhem, rape and the heartwarming story of the bald man asking God to send bears to kill the kids mocking him . . and he does!!!
What is wrong with taking care of the earth. I'll never understand your position on that in a million years.

Child killers need not worry, since we as a society have been unable to bring pious child fuckers to justice.

I stopped reading right there - I don't give a flying fuck what you 'believe'. I don't even have to ask if you have anything to back this up with (besides your personal claim of being holier than thou).

Thank you for question my motives, character and moral integrity. I just don't believe that actions have consequences AFTER MY DEATH -except- for those people still living that I may have affected (positively or negatively) after I go. I also have problems with guilt, probably because the "you're guilty no matter what you do or how good you are" mentality (of Christianity, at least your type) has been beaten into my head since before I could say the word guilt. I DON'T think that's the motivation for most atheists, though yeah, I suppose there are probably a very small minority (but I don't know if we can really call them atheists).

I agree that not believing in god isn't an excuse for any crime, but most of the time the big crimes are by religious people.

You're not the only one who can play that game.
I’m of the belief that most fundies embrace fundamentalism because they refuse to accept the consequences of their actions... In a way, they are “sucking up to the judge”.
I also suspect that many fundies are the kind of people who may have gotten away with some really horrible crime like kidnapping a young child and murdering her but where never brought to justice. They hide what feelings of guilt they have with a pretentious “My sins are washed away by the blood of the Lamb” rationalizing.
Of course, there are those who simply believe in a god of some kind - I got no beef with them but the child killers need to be hunted down wherever they are hiding - even if they happen to be teaching “creation science” in some “prestigious” Bible college where the concept of global warming is, I apologize for bringing this up in a thread dedicated to fundamentalism, treated as anathema.

I also suspect that many priests are the kind of people who may have gotten away with some really horrible crime like sexually molesting children but were never brought to justice. They hide what feelings of guilt they have with a pretentious "I serve God" rationalizing.
Of course, there are those who simply teach the word of God - I got no beef with them but the child molesters need to be hunted down wherever they are hiding - even if they happen to be under the protection of the church.
Fixed it up a bit.

Here's the thing. Even if we don't believe in a divine law and a divine judge, we still have to put up with a secular law and a human judge. And we can't deny these things.

But if we become Christians, all we have to do is tell Jesus that we're really really sorry, and that's it. One way ticket into heaven.
And it scares the hell out of me that you fantasize about kidnapping and killing young children.

Oh no. I know that there are consequences to my actions. However, they will happen in this life, not the next one. Also, I can't fall back on repenting at the last second and thus, getting a free ride.
Atheism is actually harder than Christianity in this respect.
I also suspect that many atheists are the kind of people who may have gotten away with some really horrible crime like kidnapping a young child and murdering her but where never brought to justice.
Gosh. You found me out. I eat babbies for breakfast.
Of course, there are those who simply don’t believe in a god of any kind
Believe it or not, that pretty much includes most, if not all, atheists.
