Why should I expect atheists to see the problem in forcing people to read the Koran? If it isn't Christianity that's being taught and preached, they can't get enough of it! Evolution is just like the Koran- an anti-Christian ideology being taught. Atheists love it.

Being an atheist does not mean I , (or any other atheist ) have an exclusive dislike of christian’s and go around getting into other religions you dislike, specifically to spite you. We find ALL medieval fairytales of invisible sky fairies to be ridiculus, and as such don’t take them seriously. Because face it. There’s no proof except for that little story book you theists constantly thump. Written how many century’s ago by Bronze Age goat fuckers. And ever think that maybe the reason atheists are so anti christian at all is because you fuckers are the ones using your little “religious rights” to avoid taxes, impose on many many other peoples rights for no reason except that they are different from you, (Sexually, gender wise, race, religion, etc
) and are just possibly the biggest, noisiest, most corrupt religion on the planet?!
“REPENT OR BURN!” Sound fucking familiar???
'Forcing people" into religion is wrong. See? Why don't you run all you stupid concepts past an Atheist before you proclaim them? This site would be of immense help if they just came in and asked (most don't want to know, I know) By the way no ones forcing you to believe in evolution either.
Is this comment based on a religious studies class reading list or what?
What? The Koran has a god in it, ergo not for atheists. And how did evolution get in the mix? Evolution is not an ideology, it's a scientific theory.
Everybody ought to read the Bible, the Koran and the Torah before they decide what they really believe. In fact, they ought to read about Shintoism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism and Confucianism too. Knowledge of a few African and native American religions wouldn't hurt, either.
Why should I expect fundies to see the problem in forcing them to read "On the Origin of Species" by Charles Darwin, "A Brief History of Time" by Prof. Stephen Hawking and "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins? If it isn't science that's being taught, they can't get enough of it! Creation is an anti-Reality ideology being taught. Fundies love it, because it justifies their 'Persecution' complex.
^Sounds bad eh, Northern Christian, hmmmm?
Now you know how others feel when you & your ilk force your beliefs, and push your evil fundie 'morals' and agenda, upon everyone else.
Most atheists think it's wrong to force anyone to read any religious tract- the Koran, the Talmud, the Bible, Chick Tracts.
Look, it's fine if you want to read some outmoded and absolutely fantastic (in an unreal, bad way.) fairy tale and base your life off of it; hell, maybe I'll live my life according to Sleeping Beauty and gad about mackin' on sleeping chicks; our problem comes when you refuse to accept the probability that religion is bunk, and when you expect everyone else to just naturally agree with you like they don't have free will of their own.
The koran is just a bad, contradictory, irrational, strange, and plain weird book as the bible.
Somewhere in the Net, there is a very good test of ones religious/spiritual alignment.
On this test, I scored the highest correlation with "Secular Humanism".
I received the lowest correlation with "Catholicism" (as place 48)
The second lowest correlation was with "Islam" (place 47)
This doesn't quite sound like I would love Islam... its just as bad as Christianity.
Personally, I disdain fundamentalist Islam for the same reason I disdain fundamentalist Christianity: The refusal to recognize the necessity of keeping church and state separated. What goes on in church may be a fine outlet for your heart, but a state has to be run by the peoples' heads.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
