The only reason that you want evolution taught in our schools is because it will become much easier to turn people into atheists if they believe in evolution. You know evolution is most friendly to atheism, and that's why you want it taught to children at a young age.

Because the study of Evolution is science. Creationism is NOT a scientific study.
If you want to teach children Creationism, do it in a church.
NC, you would perhaps be relieved to note that evolution places no demands on individual morality. Teach your bogeyman stories to your own children if you must, but don't be surprised if someone else's kid calls you an idiot or something.
Biology has very little to do with philosophy and world-views.
Teaching economics in our schools can also make it easier to turn people into atheists, as this shows that money make the world go round, rather than prayers.
I would expect teaching open mindedness would drive more to atheism, or, as in my case, reading the bible.

2005. Kitzmiller vs. Dover.
Judge Jones found for the plaintiffs. The precedent was set. Teaching 'Intelligent Design' (and therefore Creationism) is now illegal (and unconstitutional).
The case was presided over by the Christian Conservative John E. Jones III, personally appointed to the Federal bench by President George Dumbya Bush. Voted in by you fundies.
The only reason why Evolution is taught in US educational establishments is because of you Repubicans, Neocons and Religious Right types fucking up. Because of you voting in someone who appointed someone else who ultimately decided a case that went against your agenda, you now have Atheism taught to children at a young age - and beyond.
And it's all your fault,
Ah, the irony. 'Tis exquisite indeed. I love the smell of destroyed fundie political agenda (and self-inflicted too) in the morning. Smells like... victory.
Well, let's see: A group of people insisting an old book has the answers but they can't agree on which book, which sect in which country is true.
Or an ongoing scientific consenses that crosses religious, cultural, political and geographic borders.
There's something called weight of evidence people, it's not trivial. Science has proven evidence, you, as usual have nothing
"You know evolution is most friendly to atheism,"
Well, yes, but that's no fault of either evolution or atheism!
No I want it taught in schools because it's one of the foundations of modern biology and science classes are supposed to teach kids about science. Creationism/ID isn't science and doesn't belong in science class, except in the context of explaining why it isn't proper science in the interest of teaching kids how science is supposed to work.
The fact that evolution is friendly to atheism is just a side benefit.
Evolution is biology, not religion. I was taught Christianity at a much younger age than I was taught evolution at.
If you believe in evolution, in the same sense as you believe in gods, then you're not really an atheist.
Do you believe in gravity, Northern Christian?
I became an Atheist years before I had heard of Evolution. It is perfectly possible that Evolution could be the tool that God uses. I don't believe it but if there is a god, that is how he would do it.
What does create Atheists faster and more surely, is the actual reading of the bible in it's entirety. If you want to stop the spread of Atheism, best to ban the Bible from all public places.
Evolution doesn't have an agenda, it just IS. Creationism is a specifically-Christian fantasy, and teaches nothing factual, nothing explicatory, nothing predictive.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
