This stem cell research is a multi billion dollar industry in the private sector to begin with. This is totally unnecessary and it will be another drain on the federal treasury for years to come and it will produce absolutly nothing positive but will only be more experimentation by the Frankenstein crowd.
The abortion crowd cheers their approval today as this is hardly a surprise as Obama pays back the abortion gangsters who donated to his campaign.

Obama voted FOR a bill that said babies born alive after attempted abortions must be treated. Yes, he also voted no on a similar bill, BECAUSE there was already one in place that did the same thing. We went over all of this during the campaign. You're just lying at this point and it's PATHETIC.
Oh for fucks sake. The US does not exist in a research vacuum, other countries also engage in stell cell research. All Obama did was give its scientists more incentive to do their work in the US rather than consider taking an overseas contract in a country not run by religious loonies. To be sure, stem cells come from unimplanted embryos at a very early stage in development. Allowing [government funding of, mind, it was never banned] embryonic stem cell research will not lead to late term abortions or euthanasia because they are completely different acts.
