The Hebrew year 5770 begins September 19th 2009 on Rosh Hashanah. Computer matrices found using Bible Code software suggest that this could be the year when the Bride of Christ will be raptured and the Tribulation period begins.
The word "RAPTURE" has been said not to appear in the Bible. Is it possible that it has been concealed or hidden (ENCODED) within the scriptures themselves. Four matrices have been located in the Old Testament linking the key word "RAPTURE" with the Hebrew years of 5770 (2009-2010), 5771 (2010-2011), and 5775 (2014-2015).

So, the rapture is still planned for "any day now, real soon, really!"
That's all you had to say.
@Dark_Lord_Prime: Well, in all fairness, two of the matrices could have given the same solution.
But this is still crazy stupid.
Their scientific and mathematical rigor is something for us all to aspire to.
"Is it possible that..." I love the way people throw this phrase around. The answer could be "Yes, I suppose" to almost any question phrased this way.
In almost any situation, "Is it probable" or "Is it likely" is the proper question.
The Raptard Code. Now available at a bookstore near you.
Can we laugh and point fingers at you on December 31, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2014, & 2015?
I'm getting really tired about this nonsense.
Every year the same bull... "This is it! The rapture! This year! JEEZUS IS COMING! MARK MY WORDS!!!"
What a pathetic loser you are...
Just like in 1666, 1872, 2000, 2001, 1999, 1745, etc, etc, etc.
And when 2016 rolls around and there is no magical "poof" out of existence for all the raptards, I presume they will offer an official apology and renounce their deathwish.
Oh wait... a prophecy has been revealed to me: once these lunatics aren't whisked away into their grotesque and slightly homoerotic (admit it) jesus fantasy by the end of 2015 they will make new "more accurate" predictions about when the rapture will actually happen
So um... why would the Hebrew calendar matter in a book written in English?
You guys will continue to find whatever you want to find in it and interpret it to fit your particular desires. I don't think even Jesus would want you spending all your time trying to figure out a hidden agenda inside the Bible. He seemed more of a "live now" kind of guy.
the rapture: always about to happen *facepalm*
the only way we've been living in the end times for the last 2000 years is if we count geological time... which wouldn't exist if these were really the endtimes, because then the earth would be only 6000 years old, and 1/3 of the existence of the world != endtimes.
Quick, someone buy the domain names rapture2010, rapture2011, rapture2012, rapture2013, ... , rapture2500 with in .com, .org, .net!
In the rather sparse forum, some grouchy old bint from the UK is predicting 22 July 2009.
She thought it would be after the eclipse on August 1 last year, but was utterly dissapointed. She needed something else to be a sign so --- she picked an eclipse on July 22 this year.
The mind boggles!
You know the "bible" code (using numerology to select letters and form words) has been successfully applied to Harry Potter just to show how stupid it is?
No, of course not, it'll be any day now till the day you die.
999, 1102, 1313, 1666, 1745, 1872, 1914, 1915, 1919, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003(6x), 2004(11x), 2005(7x), 2006(19x), 2007(x), 2008(31x), 2009(15x and it's only March)
All the above doomsday dates were derived by exactly the same bullshit logic as used by these morons, consistent only their total inaccuracy.
It took me 51 years to figure out that the WHOLE BIBLE is total bullshit along with your Mickey-Mouse religion.
And it doesn't end on 19/09/2009, then there could always be another "predicted" date for the end of the world.
They can't all be wrong...
At first I thought it was a neat coincidence, until it was mentioned linking three different years. Then that made me think that patterns really can be found in anything if people want.
And this is from a person who liked Knowing !
Though if you're a True ChristianTM, you can always say that that's because it represents the Trinity, I guess.

LAID.
Were you using a Hebrew Bible? If that's the case, why search for an English word? If you were using an English Bible, why would this super secret word problem be located in a text not of its original language?
English version, Hebrew version, the bible is an astrological literary hybrid taken from the egyptian pagan religion. Mapping the path of Horus, the sun of god, as it travels around the globe with his 12 disciples(the astrological constellations)
There is going to be no end of the world found in it because the majority of it has nothing to do with what you think it has to do with.
Everything you say is in effect garbage.

It's more than possible, it's very likely, especially since you haven't specified any particular method of encoding, that one could be defined that would produce the word "RAPTURE" when applied to a block of text as big and rambling as the damn bible. In fact, you could probably define a very large number of different methods of decoding that would do it. Of course, none of this would signify jack shit; you could likely just as easily define a bunch of decoding algorithms to find the word "CUSTARD" in the bible.
I am so looking forward to September 19th now.
On the one hand we have the rapture not happening as predicted and all the gloating rights and mockery that shall go with it.
On the other hand if it actually did happen then, yes, everything I believed about the bible would probably have turned out to be wrong, but at least we'll finally be rid of all the fundtards.
It's a win-win scenario.
@#929467: So um... why would the Hebrew calendar matter in a book written in English?
Generally, when this kind of nonsense is done, they use the Hebrew Old Testament or the Greek New Testament. Not the English translation.
As well as 5775-eleventy billion, just in case!
Look, I'm certainly no expert programmer, but I'm pretty sure you can make 'Bible Code software' pump out whatever the crap you want it to.
Hide-n-seek is a game for pre-school-age children. If your god has anything worth saying, he can express it openly in clear, easy-to-understand language. And if he can't act like a rational adult and do this, then he can go fuck his non-existent self as far as I'm concerned.
Edit: Just noticed that the Edit function is back. Woo-hoo! Thanks, Distind!
The word "RAPTURE" has been said not to appear in the Bible.
The words, "CHAINSAW MY NUTSACK" aren't in there either so obviously got wants you to do it too.
"Is it possible that it has been concealed or hidden (ENCODED) within the scriptures themselves."
The belief that one is privy to secret knowledge that no one else has, that has been given to them by some outside force is usually a sign of a diseased mind. Just thought I'd say that.
"The word "RAPTURE" has been said not to appear in the Bible. Is it possible that it has been concealed or hidden (ENCODED) within the scriptures themselves."
I think it's much more possible that you are a deluded douchebag.
1) I'm sure I could find some bit in the bible that says Elvis is coming back in 2031 if I encoded it in ROT13 and then shifted all the letters up by 3 or some such nonsense. It means absolutely fuck all.
2) I don't give a shit about what the bible says is going to happen. Fuck off.
"The word "RAPTURE" has been said not to appear in the Bible."
Damn, do you Fundies not even KNOW where the concept of the Rapture comes from in the first place?!
"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever."
-- 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
The WORD "rapture" doesn't occur in most English translations of the Bible.
The CONCEPT of a rapture does.
Any questions?
Well, obviously the wizard of "Lord of the Rings" is encrypted in the bible as well.
I let a bible code finder (from http://dmitrybrant.com/fun-with-the-bible-code ) run over a text version of the King James bible and search for the name of Gandalf and voila, gandalfs name is encrypted in the story about the 7 plenteous and 7 meager years
I also found Saruman, encrypted in Deuteronomy 1:11
Sauron was encrypted very often (for example in Exodus 25) and there were also found multiple passages (990) containing Frodo, Merry, Pippin and Sam.
So, how do you explain this? Obviously JRR Tolkien had some divine connections, else we wouldn´t find names from LotR encrypted in the bible ;)
:D
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
