This quote may have come out a little weird, but I don't see anything wrong with Jews wanting our children to remain Jewish and preserve our cultural identity to some degree. Although I am personally okay with intermarriage, I think it is an issue which hasn't been dealt with very well by some of the more conservodox wings of Judaism.

I'm confused about the problem with this quote. It's natural to want to preserve your culture, and if anything could cure racism (not that we wouldn't find some other way to hate each other for no basis in reality -- being afraid of that which is different is unfortunately natural as well) I would think it would be having nothing recognizable as a "race". Whether that's logical, feasible or even desirable (we're trying to save endangered languages and such for a reason), it seems to be an innocent statement.

Presumeing that actually happened and the jews were therefore the only 'white' race left on earth don't you think it might cause a little discrimination/hatred/distrust?
The reason this got approved was because it says: "sure you guys breed and mix races until all other racism goes away...but we will still be the JEWS!"
Many of us are concerned with making sure Jew stays with Jew. But I would encourage the rest of the world to mix, and alleviate racism.
Sure that is fine for the rest of you, mix your race with other inferior breeds, but as gods chosen we jews must maintain our seperation from all other peoples.

Still uninformed. Yes race will probably disappear but differences in appearance won't. It depends on how genes combine. 2 people could have half the genes for dark skin and half the genes for light skin but in opposite spots of each other and potentially they could have a child who gets the light half from both parents or the dark half from both parents. We'll tend towards an inbetween skin color but we won't all look the same.

To substitute "white" for Jew is a stretch in my opinion since the term "white culture" is total bullshit invented by racists, where as a unique Jewish culture has survived against all odds for at least 5,000 years. Those Jews who oppose intermarriage do so not on the grounds that Judaism is a superior religion or a superior group of people, rather it is out of the concern that the things that make us unique, the things that make us different would disappear. As the world moves towards a greater sense of uniformity about culture there are concerns amongst nearly all cultural minority groups about this issue.

This is incredibly racist, and everyone would be saying so if he had said "white" instead of Jewish. Jews DO see themselves as a race, hence a child is not considered to be born a Jew unless the mother is Jewish. As a gentile who has dated Jews and run into this prejudice with boyfriends' families, I know whereof I speak. One mother even told me it infuriated her that a guy was dating me and might contribute the a further "watering down" of Jewish blood.
