["I can sorta understand why people have an ick factor attatched to homosexuality, because as I homosexual I have an ick factor towards hetrosexuality......:]

What you have is a disorder. Its just a tradgedy that no doctor has the guts to tell you the truth.

Your icon says your a Christian. This means you have an "ick" factor toward Mary and Joseph, Abraham and Sarah, David and Bathsheeba, and all the other couples in the Bible, and all the geneologies in the Bible. Doesn't make a lot of sense, does it.

As I've said numerous times in my fandom-related communities: "Just because it's canon doesn't mean you have to ship it".

I wonder how this guy would react to Ruth and Naomi, or David and Jonathan...?

@ SPS
Bible fanfiction! I might actually read it if it was smutty enough.

"the Bible, and all the geneologies in the Bible. Doesn't make a lot of sense, does it."

Oh, this part only - I agree!

Doesn't make a lot of sense, does it.
No, it does not. You speak truly and with great insight.

David was, at the least, bisexual, as he had a clearly homosexual relationship with Jonathan.

Homosexuality is NORMAL AND NATURAL, just like heterosexuality.

Ick factor indeed, Tu Es Estupido, toward all of it; the whole damned book.

Jesus was gay: he was a single man, who hung about with twelve other single men, and even had his own fag hag.

From what I remember of the babble, all of those couples had some issues.

Oy Vey!

"...the Bible. Doesn't make a lot of sense, does it."

I'll fix this for you.

The Bible doesn't make a lot of sense, does it?

Btw, no one cares about your bronze age sexual sensibilities anymore.

"I wonder how this guy would react to Ruth and Naomi, or David and Jonathan...? "

The usual response. Fingers in ears and loudly reciting the "acceptable" portions of their chosen bible.

seriously how stupid can you be not to realize that finding heterosexuality icky doesn't mean you want to burn the very concept burnt to the ground?

Cox & Dicks

Hi Dicks here, Cox has gone to open wide and say ARGHHH! He'll probably be gone for a few hours, still, it could be worse, but me and Cox are lucky, our dentist is a good one, he never does anything unnecessary. Cox has a fear of dentists, I don't know why, he normally likes having his mouth prodded by hard things. Anyway, enough of our oral hygiene arrangements, I've got a few more biblical verses for you. So here they are:-

Num.34:23-27

23 The prince of the children of Joseph, for the tribe of the children of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod.

24 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.

25 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Zebulun, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.

26 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Issachar, Paltiel the son of Azzan.

7 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.

Ah! Men (and Women too)

And much contemplation shall be had by one and all.

See you soon. Love, Dicks

"I hate homosexuals because they're different but I'm not a hateful person so I wouldn't tell them...but there's this book that tells me it's okay to hate homosexuals because an entity existing out of space and time that condones genocide of foreigners and homosexuals says so..."

Doesn't make a lot of sense, does it?

All those couples sure give me the "ick." Mary was barely a teenager, Abraham and Sarah were waaaay to old to be having any babies (or living, for that matter) and David killed Bathsheeba's husband because he wasn't as much of a dick as him. Ew.

I might admit now that I do have an "ick" factor toward homosexuals since I am straight but it isn't a disorder. It hasn't been in the DSM IV. I also have more of an ick factor for many of the couples in the Bible.

Thinking Allowed

*source* http://psychology.ucdavis.edu/rainbow/HTML/facts_mental_health.HTML

In 1973, the weight of empirical data, coupled with changing social norms and the development of a politically active gay community in the United States, led the Board of Directors of the American Psychiatric Association to remove homosexuality from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). Some psychiatrists who fiercely opposed their action subsequently circulated a petition calling for a vote on the issue by the Association's membership. That vote was held in 1974, and the Board's decision was ratified.

It's pretty rich for someone who lives in a deluded fantasy-world of angels, devils and the supernatural to be calling anyone else 'disordered', no?

Your argument doesn't make a lot of sense either.

The Amazing Liarbird

This means you have an "ick" factor toward Mary and Joseph, Abraham and Sarah, David and Bathsheeba, and all the other couples in the Bible, and all the geneologies in the Bible.

So it's impossible to be one thing without hating everything that isn't the same as you?

Also, he said he thought het sex was icky, not that he thought hetero couples were horrible.

And it's a "tradgedy" that your christian school teachers never taught you to to spell.

The Native American people had a ceremony for what they called the "Two Spirit Spirit People." By the time a child was 9-12 if they thought they acted different then their born gender they all gathered for this ceremony. I'm not going to bore you with the details but it's very interesting. At the end of the ceremony if they child was thought to have "two spirits" it was an honor and they often went to practice with the Shaman or healers. They also had relationships with other "two spirit" people. They thought they could understand the male and female better than a "one spirit person"

Of course, each tribe was different, and I'm sure the kids got teased a little, human nature and I'm sure it wasn't always a happy perfect life. But at least the Native Americans, realzied people were born they way they were born it was nothing evil and shameful.

Maybe we should all take a lesson from them.
