Quote# 60995

As for doctrine, it has become increasingly obvious that there are definite articles of doctrine that are woven through the faith structure of atheism. They include but are not limited to cannibalism, fatalism, evolution, elitism, and more.

LOL at cannibalism. Elitism is the realm of religion, especially fundy xtianity. And I think that I'm the only real fatalist left on the planet.

You seem a little out of sorts, Internet Pastor. Was it someone you ate?

Societies that have practiced cannibalism have always done it for ritual/religious reasons.

So it's hardly atheist in nature.

You don't know what "doctrine," "faith" or "atheism" mean, do you?

Have charity for the world, my pet

We'll take the customers that we can get

We won't discriminate great from small

no we'll serve anyone

meaning anyone

You claim to eat a jew, then accuse others of cannibalism?

You claim god does what he wants and nobody can stop him then you accuse others of fatalism?

You claim you will be beamed up and everyone else will be left behind then you accuse others of elitism?

There is definite hypocricy woven throughout christianism.

Cannibalism? Like the eating of Christ's flesh?

Fatalism? Like the whole condemning to hell?

Evolution? Like organisms adapting to survive?

Elitism? Like how Christians say and act like they are better than everyone?

I do love how elitism and cannibalism are mentioned together. Goodness knows, as an atheist cannibal I refuse to settle for less than the absolute, professional best when picking out and capturing my future meals, and no meddling cannibal hobbyists are going to change THAT.

"Ooo-oohh, my plane crashed into a mountain and I had to eat the other passengers to survive! Listen to my idea-aas! Oo-ooh!"
Shut the hell up and butt out until you've spent the last decade doing this for a living, dumbass.

And, oh my god, it looks like the quote isn't a poe, either.

He actually explains what he meant by cannibalism in the comments:

"If you, as most atheists, would eat another (dead) human being if it meant saving your own life then you are a cannibal… plain and simple."

By that definition, sure, I'm a cannibal.

Then again, I'm also a murderer because I would kill in self-defence.
I'm a thief because I would steal to survive.
I'm a rapist because I would rape if forced to at gunpoint.
etc.

So, I guess what he's just proven is that everyone is everything.

So atheism means that it's inevitable that we evolve into a superior species that eats people. I think someone has been watching "Soylent Green" too many times.

Evolution I can go with. Feeling good about myself for not being elitist is a bit of a paradox, I suppose. Fatalism, erm, only in some cases.

But cannibalism?!

Actually, I know at least half a dozen atheists that don't believe in evolution (they believe we're an alien experiment). Since even that is not all-encompassing, I don't see how the others could fit at all.
