Quote# 61527

The European Union is a monetary giant, on the verge of crushing the American economy. The countries involved in the European Union will slide away from the issue with false support of the American economy, however, behind the scenes will do whatever it takes to destroy the dollar and usher in a one world currency. The world needs a one world currency to elevate the marxist socialistic countries to the top of the heap, all the while deminishing the strength and democratic values of America, the greatest democracy ever established. The democracy of America is not a perfect democracy, throughout our history we have made mistakes, however, no where on earth have our mistakes destroyed a currency, a government, and or a people. We have existed over the past 250+ years as a super power because we have embraced democracy, freedom, and tolerance. We wonder why Obama is shaking hand with terrorists, next we'll be using euro's as currency and wearing united nations uniforms. God has left!!!

Or maybe Europeans are just trying to make a better life for themselves? It is okay for other countries to have a standard of living, you know.

Paranoid much? And God has left? Well, where the fuck did that asshole go?

4/19/2009 1:47:35 PM

huh?!

We have existed for 250+ years as a super power?! Guess I missed the part of American history where we existed for more than 250 years.

4/19/2009 2:02:02 PM

jsonitsac

We have existed for 233 years, and only in the last 60 as a superpower. Learn history.

Hmm. I sense a political science fail. Marxism-socialism is for all intents and purposes dead. There is no Commie conspiracy -- it was your freewheeling regulations-be-damned style that fucked your economy up.

Take a look and see how many Canadian banks have failed. Oh that's right, not one has. 'Cause we have sensible banking regulations.

So America becomes like Europe? I'm not seeing a downside here...

ROTFLOL...
Is Jim annoyed that a competitor (namely the Euro or €) has now sprung up to the U.S Dollar for a potential Global "one world" currency...?
Incedentally, The U.S did not become a superpower, until after World War II, which had the result of clobbering the European "superpowers" such as the U.K & France, economies & infrastructure...

Please, go to the local bookstore. Tell them you need a book about something called "World History". Don't worry, they should know what it is, even if you don't. I also suggest you ask for a dictionary.

Take these books home, and read the one about history. If you come across any words you don't know, look them up in the dictionary. If you still don't understand, consider talking to someone about these ideas, or reading another book after you finish the first one.

Once you actually have some sort of idea about the world and how it works, then you may speak.

Actually, I'd be more concerned abouy China if I were you, jim.

They have bought americain debt for so long, they now have the power to turn the dollar into the cent just by... selling all that debt.

And since _they_ have the industrial power, who do you guess would be hurt more?

4/19/2009 10:40:15 PM

aaa

I see. Is that a bad thing?

"no where on earth have our mistakes destroyed a currency, a government, and or a people."

Iraq would like to have a word with you.

Whitespirit

Hey Jim, the native Americans would like a word with you about your assertion that you have never destroyed a people.

They, and all right thinking people, disagree with you.

4/20/2009 12:55:52 AM

no where on earth have our mistakes destroyed a currency, a government, and or a people.

Yes.

America has never brought down any governments, ever.

*struggles to keep a straight face*

Well, I was never all that much for the EU, but if we're going to get cool uniforms and conquer the world, count me in.

History, learn some.

You have not been a super power for 250+ years, maybe around 100 years. And you allmost made the Native Americans extinct, isn't that destroying a people?

Does it matter if the world currency is the Dollar or the Euro?

And, by the way, India is the biggest democracy, maybe not the greatest, but they have had more female leaders than the US of A.

What's destroying the economies is the reckless buying and selling of stocks and options with fictional values. And the humungous greed of the top CEOs. In all the world, not just US or EU.

4/20/2009 1:11:24 AM

Well, supposedly we´re embracing the principles of Adam Smith that were the ciments of your country but of course, they´re only good when it´s convenient to you.

4/20/2009 2:10:00 AM

"no where on earth have our mistakes destroyed a currency, a government, and or a people."

The Native Americans, Japanese, Vietnamese and Iraqis would all like a word with you.

4/20/2009 2:26:24 AM

lol what

I like how terrorism is just one step less evil than the euro.

4/20/2009 3:18:55 AM

Protip: The EU is sailing ahead of us because of idiots like you.

Plus, the US was not a superpower the second it was founded. It also isn't 250 years old, much less 250+ years old. Furthermore, nearly all European nations have some form of same-sex marriage or civil unions. How's that for freedom and tolerance?

Please quit perpetuating the stereotype of Americans as willfully dumb and ignorant.

Edit: This was me, shykid. Forgot to type my name in. Oops. xD

4/20/2009 3:26:51 AM

Go look up Marxism, you're embarassing yourself.

And how would socialized health care and aid for the poor equate to "God has left"? That would be quite the opposite, I would think.

Doctor Fishcake

no where on earth have our mistakes destroyed a currency, a government, and or a people.

And that's just for starters.

When the US economy turns into a Monopoly game for dangling parasites, played by spoiled-Texas-brat rules; when the profits of major US corporations just kind of mysteriously disappear; when the US wage-earners are marginalized/disenfranchised to become pure credit slaves; when the faux n00z propaganda whores attribute the problems to the people who are trying to fix them...

Jim, I really want to see you and your pathetic ilk beg and snivel to your European masters.

1. We have been a "super power" since the end of WWII, maybe since the end of WWI if you want to push it.

2. The EU can never surpass the US economy. Let me restate that - NEVER. The pure geopolitical truth is that North America is the center of the world in that it has access to both the Atlantic and Pacific trade routes and the US is the most powerful North American Nation State. No amount of right wing, or left wing, political spin is going to change that fact.

3. You are a douchebag.

4/20/2009 8:10:18 AM

Elphada

Crushing the American economy? LMAO! I think we did a fine job of that all by ourselves. Of course to people like you we were all merry and rosy cheek before the recent inauguration. How the hell you guys think we did this overnight is beyond me.

@JohnTheAtheist: "The EU can never surpass the US economy. Let me restate that - NEVER."

Er, John? It already has, the combined GDP of the European Union is larger than the US's and Europe accounts for more than 31% of the world economic output compared with the US's 25%.
