[Former astronaut claims we're not alone in the universe, and the government is covering up evidence]

maybe the reason we are not being told has something to do with Mesopotamia, creation and mans true origins,, not what is taught by the Roman Catholic church or King James' birthday gospel,,, see Genesis 6:4,, or read some of the 22,000 Mesopotamian texts dated around 2500 b.c. Some one mined Gold here on earth 3000 years ago in Africa,,, sure wasn't cavemen,,,,

I am going to go a head and guess the Egyptians did it. Seems like they were producing gold jewelry 6000 years ago or more.

No, probably not cavemen. Now, the Egyptians and Arabs, on the other hand...

Of course, 1000 BCE wasn't the stone age, but what should the facts have to do with anything?

You don't even have the slightest idea what you are going on about, do you?

not what is taught by the Roman Catholic church or King James' birthday gospel,,, see Genesis 6:4

Would that be the same Genesis 6:4 that is taught by the two sorces you just told us to ignore?

or read some of the 22,000 Mesopotamian texts dated around 2500 b.c.

So I'm just supposed to assume that you have read them? Since you are so knowledgeable on the subject then why don't you give us a synopsis of what these oh-so amazing books say? Or maybe tell us where we can read them since they obviously are not reprinted in paperback, what with the conspiracy to suppress this information that is in them and all?

Some one mined Gold here on earth 3000 years ago in Africa,,,

I would guess that it was one of the many civilization that were prominent in northern africa at the time.

sure wasn't cavemen,,,,

And nobody with any knowledge of history is claiming that cavemen were diggig for gold or even still around 3000 years ago. You are obviously not one of those people.

Oh yeah CSTDT not FSTDT.

Some one mined Gold here on earth
I'm sure this is a conspiracy gold mine. But gold, being inert, was one of the first metals humans found. Unlike othermetals that oxidize and become dull, like rust or tarnish, its glint in the sunlight would have caught the eye of an early passer-by, and so it's been used for jewelry, coins, and any other valuable thing we can think of for thousands of years.

Does he realize what we know was going on 3000 years ago? Gold mining nothing different than coal, finding it is the hardest part

Yeah, he's fundie, anyone who quotes the Bible for historical proof is fundie

Dude... What's with all the commas? You only need to use one comma at a time, they are not like ellipses.

"Some one mined Gold here on earth 3000 years ago in Africa,,, sure wasn't cavemen,,,,"

Might have been the Egyptians. Why are you bringing cavemen into this anyway?

Also what does ancient Egyptian gold mining have to do with NASA coverups? Or the Roman Catholic church?

I agree this is more CTSTDT than FSTDT, but it's totally got a little of the fundie thing going on too. With a dash of racism, he could've gotten a trifecta.

lewis261, 3000 years ago was the early transitional phase from bronze age to iron age.
People were mining gold all over the mediteranian basin for the many powerfull states that existed at the time.
4000 years ago the bronze age was in full swing, and gold was mined all through the eastern desert in Kemet (Egypt), As well there was a copper and tin mining industry in the same eastern desert.
5000 years ago was still the upper neolithic, but gold was mined in Aswan and Nubia, And Egyptian scribes documented the daily running of the mines on papyrus scrolls that are still legible today

I dunno, that "somebody mined gold here 3000 years ago" line sounds like it might be a Scientology hook.
