I think we'll be taken so fast that the sudden removal of our bodies from this physical realm will result in an awesome world wide sonic boom as the air rushes in to fill the void created by our disappearing bodies.

I don't see why that would happen. After all, the air hasn't rushed in to fill the void between your ears.
tracer: Gawd will make them invulnerable, then lift them into the air so quickly that it'll be like teleportation.
Or, on second thought, I could stop trying to rationalize RR bullshit.
i think steve means the sonic boom like that in thunder, which was thought to be caused from the vacuum created from lightning. it might be an interesting theory if the premise had any merit.
@SurfinSeaOtter
i lold. 1 win for you! :D
Hmm, I don't think 144000 people occupy *that* big a space compared to the rest of the atmosphere.
I can't hear or feel big pressure changes (like storms and whatnot) half across the world, what makes you think we could hear or feel a few people disappearing?
Science. Not strong with these ones.
Why? And for what purpose?
Since it's all magic, anyway, wouldn't a nice soft ding serve as well?
I can't make up my mind which is scarier: the fact that they actually believe it's going to happen at all, or the fact that they sit around imagining all of the minute details, like the sounds it will make.
Is this a universal thing, or does the rapture only concern Americans? As there are about 200 countries in the world, it's less than thousand people per coutry. We won't even notice that you are missing, as long as we don't personally know any of you.
And don't say that some countries are not Christian. If he really is the one true God, he will look at every single one of us humans and see which of us are most qualified.
If you were all together there'd be a rush of air in to replace you, yes. Sonic booms however don't work that way. Be more like a quick sudden wind.
The silence afterwards would be new though and appreciated
No. Just no.
There will be no rapture. There will be no sonic boom.
There will be no impact when you leave this life as you inevitably will. No one will miss you, except possibly your immediate family and circle of acquaintances. Within 3-4 generations, no one will even remember your name.
Get over yourself. Everyone else will.
Well, Steve, it looks like you're male, but are you a) a virgin and b) Jewish? No? I'm afraid you're out of luck, then...
I think this nonsense makes no sense backwards or forwards.
...
Nope, I was wrong, I read it backwards and it actually makes a little bit more sense.
Again, they shift from "ZOMG, there are so few TRUE Christians in this world, whatever shall we do" to "When the Rapture comes, the world will be devastated by just how many will suddenly just be taken away." Can the fine people at RR PLEASE make up their minds?!
"I think "
Yeah, sure you do.
Confused?
