Matthew Shepard was involved in behavior which Romans 1:32 says made him worthy of death, but that does not in any way justify his murder
If it doesn't justify his murder then why are you using Romans to try to justify it?
On the other hand, liberal media and the sexual anarchists have been holding candle light vigils to honor him.
First things first, What "liberal" media? Second, vigil of the sort are not in any limited to the groups you describe, nor should it be, Why can't his friends and family honor him in such a manner?
It may fairly be asked, What are they honoring?
Both his life and the concept that people have an inherent right to not be beaten to death.
Are they honoring him for being murdered while seeking to commit lewd acts with his assailants? Are they honoring him because he was involved in sexual perversion to such a depth that he was apparently willing to engage in vile acts with two men at the spur of the moment?
How do you even know that was the case? The only thing you've got are claims made by the people who murdered him in an attempt to try to excuse their crimes.
No, let me tell you why they are honoring Matthew Shepard.
Well, since you seem to to claim knowledge about others thoughts and motives, then by all means tell me what these people think they are honoring.
They are honoring him because his death will suit their purposes far more than his life.
What purposes? Why do you act as if non-gay, non-christian people are incapable of both feeling and expressing grief, kinship, or compassion? Why do you make the assumption that there is always an ulterior motive behind their actions?
Beyond that, they are honoring him because they are just like him; and in honoring Matthew Shepard, they are paying homage to themselves,
Not everyone who has participated in memorials for Matthew Shepard is gay. That's a bullshit arguement and you know it.
which is something they must do to sear their own consciences and enable them to continue on in a life of rebellion and perversion
What about all the christians who participated in commemorating the life of a boy who was murdered? Oh, they must not have been true christians.
with the help of America's civil government and a fair number of her churches.
How? By passing laws that say it's not okay to assault or kill someone based on their sexual preference? What did the churches do that twists your nipple? Was it because some of them preached tolerance and acceptence? Because they said that maybe harassing, assaulting, or murdering people just because you don't like the fact that they are gay, might not be the christian thing to do?
I fervently hope Matthew Shepard repented before he perished.
So a boy gets beaten to death and the best you can come up with is "I hope he repented". If it were not for some churches constant claims that homosexuality is evil, that gays are bad people looking to recruit young children, and that "god" says in the bible that they should be killed, then i daresay this crime and thousands of other like it would never have happened in the first place.
I pray God will use his death to change the lives of others and bring them to the cross of Jesus Christ before it is too late for them as well.
A boy is killed for no other reason than the fact that he was gay, and you want to use that as an evangelizing opportunity? What is the message you are trying to send? Is it "Accept jesus, become a christian, and renounce homosexuality as the devil's handiwork or this will happen to you too."
Christ is the only hope for mankind, the way, the truth, and the life.
So how is it that around 2/3 of the earth get along without just fine without him?
