This sounds like the opening for a joke...
What's the difference between a muslim and a liberal? One is a close-minded maniac who will murder for their beliefs and the other one follows Mohammed's teachings...
It could have been funny... But - meh.

Simple: One's Muslim.
5/15/2009 12:28:42 AM
Well, Muslims tend to be very conservative for one.

What a sad world Kvat3r lives in, that everyone who doesn't agree with him is the Antichrist.
5/15/2009 12:37:23 AM
What's next, lightbulb jokes for Jesus?

I just love this answer that Sari gave. "Christians and liberals do not go together." I guess that means Jesus isn't a real christian.
5/15/2009 12:55:59 AM
How many atheist does it take to screw in a lightbulb? none, because they believe the light socket will eventually evolve to the point where lightbulbs are already there.
well you know those people are suicide bombing people because of their beliefs, i would say there is a big difference between a liberal and a fundamentalist muslim. if this is a serious post and this person really cant see the difference between the two, the LAST place he should ask is RR...
5/15/2009 12:57:53 AM
Well, let's see. I don't bow and scrape my forehead on the floor 5 times a day. I don't think males are worth twice as much as females. I don't believe that removing external genitalia from little girls is necessary, and I don't believe the mutterings of a blood thirsty pedophiliac is 'prophecy'. I don't think mass murder via suicide bombing is a noble thing to do.
That is what Fundies and conservatives believe.
5/15/2009 1:11:33 AM
You has it.
5/15/2009 1:23:14 AM
Spot the American.

Muslim (n.) 1: person who is a follower and believer of the Islamic faith; 2: (according to some religious circles) evil baby rapist.
liberal (n.) 1: person with liberal views, supporting individual liberty; 2: (US) person opposing the views of a social conservative and favoring socially responsible taxes; 3: (US, also "classical liberal", "libertarian") person who favors individual voting rights, human and civil rights, individual gun-rights, laissez-faire markets, and the gold standard; 4: (according to some political circles) evil baby rapist.
5/15/2009 1:35:14 AM
One is a follower of a religious belief system and the other is a follower of a political belief system. Religion =/= Politics.
Plus, you lie! you are not 'curious to know other viewpoints' at all, you just want your ego masturbated by having other people agree with you. Well, tough shit!
5/15/2009 1:36:52 AM
"well you know those people are suicide bombing people because of their beliefs"
Unlike the Xstian fundies of course, who use the military and bomb from a distance.
5/15/2009 1:39:27 AM
This joke sucks.
5/15/2009 1:45:02 AM
Posting on Rapture Ready + "curious to know other viewpoints"
DOES NOT COMPUTE!
5/15/2009 1:49:23 AM
What is the difference between a fundy and a Republican?..... It seems to me they all seem to have the spirit of anti-christ".
5/15/2009 2:28:36 AM
I like how the 1st response in the original thread completely shoots down this guy's obvious attempt at ego masturbation.
5/15/2009 2:32:46 AM
I'm sure you mean what's the difference between a liberal and a fundie muslim, since the fundie muslims are the ones you are (ironically) so scared of. Let's see, liberals support your right to free speech, fundies don't, liberals are pro-choice, fundies aren't, liberals are usually feminists, fundies aren't, liberals believe in education, fundies don't, liberals believe in separation of church and state, fundies don't...wait a minute. It looks like YOU might have more in common with fundie Muslims than liberals do. How very, very odd. Must be that antichrist spirit again!!!
5/15/2009 3:11:19 AM
"...and is it wrong for me to put them in the same category????"
Some muslims are liberals, while some aren't.
Some liberals are muslims, while some arent't.
Many people are neither libeals nor muslims. I'd say it's a pretty moot point.
5/15/2009 4:02:53 AM
"Spirit of Antichrist" is a cool title. What was it about the concept that religions are really good at propagating an "us vs. them" mentality? Fundamentalist Islam and Fundamentalist Christianity have so much in common -- especially with regard to infidels and nonbelievers -- that I generally draw no moral distinction between the two.
5/15/2009 4:13:30 AM
What is the difference between a Christian fundie and a Muslim fundie?? I am just curious to know other viewpoints on this. It seems to me that they all seem to have the spirit of stupidity.
5/15/2009 4:27:00 AM
If you really wanted other viewpoints you wouldn't post on RR, where alternate viewpoints are banned.
5/15/2009 4:33:06 AM
Jezebel's Evil Sister
Most Moslems are conservative, pretty much akin to the religious right. I know of a couple of liberal Moslems, but I think they actually represent a branch of atheism.
5/15/2009 4:37:02 AM
First associate liberals with Muslims. The associate both with the AntiChrist.
claim all their actions are intended to damage the "Church" and its followers;
carry out extermination of them because they're the enemies of God and Christ (and all true Xians (TM))
