Thought I'd add my 2 cents here.

We all know that Star Trek was all about the new world order, even the badges on the uniforms.

Also Star Trek got us more used to the idea of space travel, aliens and life on other planets.

The Klingons interest me. In the original series of Star Trek, the Klingons look different to they do now. Don't you think they look a bit 'reptillian' now?.

Now think of the Klingon language.

Do you find it strange that a race of beings from a television show have had a language 'created' for them?. And that this language is being taught at colleges and universities.

What if the Klingon language is actually the Reptilian language!.

I am also a conlanger, who develops 2 languages, does this mean I do this to prepare the world for the attack of the hetaki tekne, which will 'sono the earth's military and install xkeja, likhat and korona? Or that the Ken live somewhere and wait to turn us all into communists like them?

I don't think so :(

More like the planet is being taken over by virginal nerds.

If you'll remember, the LOTR elves had a language created for them as well. Does this mean we're about to be overrun by elves with bows and hobbits with rings and dwarves with axes?

The Klingons in the original show came across as a bunch of pussies. STNG toughened them up a bit. Oh and their ridges are the leftovers of an exoskeleton, meaning they're more insect than reptilian.

I'll get back to my convention now.

...some people really, really should not be allowed anywhere even near fiction.

Maybe his next theory will be about Star wars.

HazelHolly: Actually, the Elves had two languages created for them, but one was based on Finnish and the other on Welsh; to my knowledge, Klingon was not based on any existing language.

(goes back to same convention as Antichrist)

Yes, Star Wars next, obviously it was just George Lucas preparing us for a world in which special effects are overly prevalent and the plot has more holes in it than a block of Swiss Cheese!

LOTR had a new language. So did FFX.

Elven and Al Bhed. Granted Al Bhed isn't that complicated, but it's still a language.

Are we being prepared for those too?

Klingons look like reptilians? I thought they have the Romulans for that.

I'm a T-Rex and obviously I can speak T-Rexian, if that's any help. For instance when I say, "Roar!". Translated into English means, "Pass me a lettuce sandwich please Dolly." Dolly's my wife by the way. And Dolly says, "Roar!?". That means, in English, "Do you want any chives with that?"

...Is it so hard to understand? Okay, lemme say it clearly...

IT'S A MOVIE. Don't OVERTHINK IT. It's a MOVIE. Science. Fiction.

FICTION.

"We all know that Star Trek was all about the new world order, even the badges on the uniforms."

I know no such thing. I know that Star Trek is a horse opera in space.

P.S. The Klingon language has been entirely made up by fans. Get a grip.

Star Trek envisioned a happier future, where sane people won out and humans actually got along with each other. That's enough to terrify any conspiracy nut - and any racist or life-hating fundie, too.

It was not, it was officially created for the films.

At first I wondered how anyone could not know the Klingons are fiction, but then I realized this person also believes David Icke's nonsense, so, this should be no surprise, really. He probably goes out weekends hunting for Tribbles.

Do you believe that Tolkien's elven races also exist? He made a language for them. Its what nerds do.

Tolkien did it better.
