World War 2 provides evidence that God exists ... God promised Abraham that whoever harmed the Jews would be harmed themselves. Hitler harmed the Jewish people during WW2, and he was defeated, even though he had an extremely powerful and technologically advanced military force. His persecuation of the Jewish people caused his defeat, because God was keeping his promise.

Hitler got his ass kicked on the Western front because of the unprecedented industrial might of the US and the brave sacrifces of all the Allied forces (not to mention the unprecedented cooperation between countries) and on the Eastern front because of the truly unbelievable conditions the Russians survived and the devastating numbers of men they were willing to sacrifice to kick Hitler's ass.
1.) So what about all those other countries that wouldn't take the Jews when Hitler wanted to kick them out of Germany, thus forcing him to come up with another way to "deal" with them? Is turning your back on the Jews just not "harm" enough for God?
Its sad that you have belittled the sacrifice of many millions of people who died and fought in that stupid war. One may as well wonder why God let 6 million of them die before he intervened.
And indeed people were more pissed off that Hitler had done terrible things to their countries than the jews hence their war.

I think that whenever this statement does show up (from Jews) it's usually as a joke. The fact that one of the three major powers was explicitly atheist (USSR) casts a long, cold shadow of doubt on the truth of this statement. Why did god need the help of "teh athiest kommies" with good ol' christian Britain and America to do all the dirty work?
I guess, that unusually cold winter could be explained that killed off most of the nazis moving on russia and also the fact Hitler decided to randomly kill himself...

Actually, it was the RUSSIANS who defeated Hitler although us jingoistic Americans always took the full credit for it.
