Quote# 62779

I am a Jesus Freak so what surprises me even more is when Christian's don't read their Bibles at all. Scary movies are from hell, why a Christian would want to watch hell glorified is beyond me.. Now give me a good fighting action war movie without obscenities and I am there! I love the bloody battlefield movies, I don't know why.

Apparently this fool has never heard the expression "war is hell."

Gerbils in a bundt cake, Sgt. Jeebus! I've been disemboweled!

5/30/2009 9:33:07 AM

You are simply a fundie freak.

Go find a burning bush and talk to it!

Better yet, take my memories from me of a bomb exploding in a city street and seeing two friends being shredded into strips of flesh and broken bone.

On reflection, you are worse than a freak. You are a disgusting ghoul, and no amount of Jesusing excuses that.

5/30/2009 10:36:53 AM

Because your Bible is chock full of it

5/30/2009 11:03:14 AM

I love the bloody battlefield movies, I don't know why.

That is because you are member of a death and torture cult, you sick fuck!

5/30/2009 11:22:01 AM

They call me V

Dude, horror movies are usually fairly conservative as far as morals go. Y'know, at least the slashers, what with the "you have sex, you die" thing and "the virgin survives." I mean, it should be right up the fundie alley.

Old Viking

You love war movies because they are deeply religious. You would not like the infantry itself, however. Guys were constantly saying, "Oh, fudge!" and "doo-doo!"

5/30/2009 12:02:23 PM

@ Xotan: I'm not sure what to say as there is nothing that would dispel such a horrific vision. I keep hoping as the days and years pass maybe the world will realize war and such do not solve anything. My hope is not so strong as I am 55 and war and violence seem to be a trait of the so called human race.

Iruntherace....you're a jackass. My father left a well known university(football scholarship) here in the U.S. to enlist in the USMC. He was sent to Korea after 6 weeks of basic. He later turned his back on OCS because he'd seen too much blood. Want to hear your father crying in his sleep every night and shouting "NO!NO!NO!?"
He never talked about his experience and he never touched a gun again. As for the movie "Saving Private Ryan" he would not see it. He told me his nightmares were enough but at least somebody will show the true nature of war: Not glorious. He died 3 years ago of a massive brain tumor but if you related what you typed in your post he would have blistered your ass. Talk to somebody that has seen the atrocities of conflict/war and they'll set you straight.

War without obscenities?
Sheila Broflovski, is that you?

5/30/2009 12:11:01 PM

I am a Jesus^H^H^H^H^H Freak...
There fixed that for you

5/30/2009 12:28:45 PM

"without obscenities"...

yeah you can blow that mans head off, but you better not say any naughty words.

5/30/2009 1:02:14 PM

So what, exactly, is the difference between horror and "bloody battlefield movies"? They're both fiction. They're both (generally) full of violence. One just usually won't happen in real life while the other happens all the time. . . .

Mr. Creazil

Blood for the Blood God!

I'd wager that Irun swears like a docker if he stubs his toe.

5/30/2009 1:43:17 PM

At least with the horror movies, we know it can't happen. As for war, well....

D Laurier.

Several years ago I took a job working for an old farmer who was German.
After several months working together, we became freinds.
One day after all the work was done, he got drunk and started muttering in German.
I learned over the winter that he hated snow, And he had gotten that way from his experiences in russia between 1941 and 1944.
Old Heinrich told me a lot about those years, He had a lot to say, and I was the only one that he thought would listen.
Shitheads who love war need to be forced to listen to people like Heinrich.

War is the H-word.

5/30/2009 3:15:40 PM

"what surprises me even more is when Christian's don't read their Bibles at all"

So you're familiar with "2 Corinthians 10:2-4", "Romans 12:17-19" and "1 Peter 3:10-11" then?

"give me a good fighting action war movie"

Apparently not.

5/30/2009 3:37:22 PM

Yeah just as long as they don't cuss it's okay if people are brutally slaughtered.

5/30/2009 3:42:14 PM

Darwin's Lil' Girl

If you love the battlefield, you really have read the Bible. God is a psychopath, afterall.

5/30/2009 4:43:07 PM

A guy getting sprayed with bullets is godly.

A guy saying "You son of a bitch" is obviously inspired by satan.

5/30/2009 5:08:07 PM

You sure that's Jesus and not say....

why a Christian would want to watch hell glorified is beyond me.

According to St Thomas Aquinas the blessed often walk over to the battlements of heaven to look down and enjoy viewing the justice of God being executed in hell.
