I worked with a "gay" guy about 30 years ago. He was out and out proud of it. I will never forget what he said. "You know how we (the Gays) are going to take over and have more rights than you do." We will do it through the SCHOOLS AND CHURCHES. I said that will never happen. I was wrong. They had this plan 30 years ago. They will not teach my grandchild that. I will be in the school every day.

You know what Stuart? I like you. You're not like the other people here in the trailer park. Oh no, don't get me wrong, they're fine people, good Americans. But they're content to sit back, maybe watch a little Mork and Mindy on channel 57. Maybe kick back a cool Coors 16-ouncer. They're good fine people, Stuart. But they don't know what the queers are doing to the soil.

You know that Johnny Werzner kid - the kid who delivers papers in the neighborhood? He's a fine kid. Some of the neighbors say he smokes crack, but I don't believe it. Anyway, for his 10th birthday, all he wanted was a burrow owl, just like his old man. "Dad, get me a burrow owl. I'll never ask for anything else as long as I live". So the guy breaks down and buys him a burrow owl. Anyway at 10:30 the other night I go out into my yard and there's the Werzner kid looking up in the tree. I said, "What are you looking for?" He said, "I'm looking for my burrow owl." I say, "Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick! Everybody knows that a burrow owl lives in a hole in the ground! Why the hell do you think they call it a burrow owl, anyway?!" Now Stuart, do you think a kid like that is gonna know what the queers are doing to the soil?

I first became aware of this, about 10 years ago, the summer my oldest boy Bill Jr. died. You know that carnival that comes to town every year? Well this year it came with a ride called the Mixer. The man said "Keep your head and arms inside the mixer at all times." But Bill Jr., he was a daredevil, just like his old man. He was leaning out saying, "Hey everybody! Look at me, look at me!" POW! He was decapitated. They found his head over by the snowcone concession. A few days after that, I open up the mail and there's a pamphlet in there, from Pueblo, Colorado. And it's addressed to Bill Jr. And it's entitled, "Do you know what the queers are doing to our soil?"

Now Stuart, if you look at the soil around any large U.S. city with a big underground homosexual population - Des Moines, Iowa, perfect example. Look at the soil around Des Moines, Stuart. You can't build on it, you can't grow anything in it. The government says it's due to poor farming. But I know what's really going on, Stuart. I know it's the queers. They're in it with the aliens. They're building landing strips for gay Martians. I swear to God.

I'd be willing to bet that you are lying for jesus. It's just so convienient that what this person supposedly said is the exact same thing that you fundies claim that gays are after. Do you honestly think that someone with half a brain is going to think a gay person was saying anything about having "more rights than you" in the late 70's?

Sure they did. Because everybody knows that all homosexuals are part of a single monolithic conspiracy to indoctrinate all children to be gay, and to destroy the christian religion. After all it's not as if gay people are individuals with their own views and goals. Why don't you catch up with reality and realize that there is no monolithic "gay agenda" that all gay's support regardless of their own personal opinions.

Of course they won't, mainly because because schools don't teach people to be gay, nor do they teach people that gays should have more rights than non gays. As far as you being in school everyday... sooner or later your grandchild is going to get tired of being smothered and watched over and if you don't back off then it could lead to some serious resentment and authority issue with your grandchild. On top of that you won't accomplish your goal, you can't shelter kids and be able to filter all information that they take in without isolating them and acting as a go-between with the child and the rest of the world. That's no way to raise a kid.

You might as well have prefaced that statement with "I am a big fat liar", because that is effectively what this "quote" says to anyone with the tiniest bit of knowledge of the actual issues pertaining to homosexuality in this country, let alone those who may have actually spoken with a few gay people in their time. Because this is either a joke that went over your head, a complete misunderstanding of the entire point of pursuing gay marriage on the part of the person spoken to(equality, not added rights), or just an outright fabrication for a person who's sole motive for saying it is demonization and distortion. And I sincerely doubt it's the second one.
