The right to freedom of religion is as much protection FROM religion as it is protection FOR religion. Just like all of the freedom of speech in the world does not allow you to yell "FIRE!" in a crowded theater, freedom of religion does not afford you the privilege of trying to shove your religious beliefs down the throats of your neighbors.
Edit: And is it just me, or does the last sentence have absolutely nothing to do with the rest of the statement?

Please explain how you are being oppressed, and persecuted.
Are you allowed to go the church of your choice on Sundays? Are you allowed to own a bible? Then open it and read when ever you like? Are you allowed to wear a cross if you so choose? Are you allowed to celebrate your religous holidays out in the open without hiding? We could go on and on.
If you answered yes to all those questions you are certainly not being persecuted and opressed and it's actually insulting to people who are.
