Marriage, to be honest, is not an answer to any problems at all (well, okay, maybe taxes and some other artificial social obstacles).
The problems you've listed are hardly related to homosexuals. STDs/AIDS? Alcohol/drug abuse? Child molestation? Please, find someone else to lie to.

Assuming that STDs (throwing "and AIDS" in there is redundant) ARE becoming as big of a problem as you claim, I guarantee that it has NOTHING to do with growing tolerance of homosexuality.
It more likely has to do with you people and your refusal to give proper sex education, abstinence-only policies and anti-contraception bullshit. Abstinence only DOES NOT WORK. It will only make kids learn about sex from their peers and their peers aren't going to say "don't forget to use a condom" or "make sure they don't have any STDs first." They are going to say "she's hot and fucks like a goddess!"

Alcohol and drug abuse is most likely because religious nuts believe STDs are homo diseases and other lies, and like to tell us that it's 'wrong'. If this isn't the cause, it's probably one of the factors, at least.

Check out the statistics of HIV transmission among African-Americans in DC, and then come back and tell us that it is a uniquely gay problem. Also, as for child molestation, Virginia used to require signs in bars telling men not to knock up underage girls. The irony was that gay bars were not exempt.

If you want to curb venereal diseases... Hello, sex ed? Child molestation is normally perpetrated by people who identify as straight. And a pedophile is no more a homosexual than they are a heterosexual. Substance abuse can be lessened by educating people and funding programs to help addicts. Seriously, go after the straights if you want to blame someone. They are the majority, after all. Those things aren't "growing problems" because of teh gays. And there's as many gays as there ever were. It's just not as many are hiding it.
You know... I live just outside of Washington D.C., which has one of the highest HIV/AIDS infection rates in the country. It is not a problem limited to homosexuals. Everyone is at risk, and if your people stopped trying this abstinence-only bullshit, we wouldn't have as much of a problem.
Marriage isn't supposed to answer any of those problems! It sure as hell hasn't fixed heterosexuals, what with their 50% divorce rate and all.

Strange, STDs are growing, AIDS is diminishing, and I don't really know about child molestations, in Sweden. But we will soon have homosexual marriage. We have had partnership for some years, but no bad developements due to that. Chemical castration is for child molesters, not for homosexuals, as most child molesters are heterosexuals. Alchohol and drug abuse has nothing to do with anything else in this post.
