Quote# 63505

[Speaking on a tape distributed to militia groups in 1999]

As far as free America is concerned, we are in the death throes of America -- a free America. Most of our freedoms are gone. We're basically operating in a police state, and you'll see this as we go along. Martial law has not yet been declared, but it could be at any time. It could be this very night. It's that imminent. And we already have more foreign troops -- and I'll give you the numbers -- in this land -- in the forty-eight states -- than we have our own military left here that's not been shipped somewhere overseas, so the takeover could happen at any given hour -- not a month away or anything.

Hmmm, Retired Army Colonel Jim Ammerman's conception of imminence is similar to Rapture Ready's. Could they be related in some way?

Maybe there's a reason he's retired....

Wait, most of our freedoms are gone? Damn, I guess I've always followed the state religion, am only permitted to speak the state language, the media can only show what the government wants it to show, all entertainment is government regulated and I can't enjoy something that isn't patriotic and pro-America.... Oh wait, I haven't followed any of those and yet, here I am, not thrown in jail for being an unAmerican slob. Go fuck yourself, buddy, you don't have the slightest clue what you're talking about.

Blah, blah, blah, blah, Waaaaa my freedoms are being taken away from us. We're becoming a Police State blah, blah, blah.

More musical whining from people who want the Bill of Rights to be absolute, but aren't willing to do what it takes to upkeep them even at a more liberated form, nevermind absolutely.

In fact, the Bill of Rights was never meant to be taken absolutely. Remember the yelling in the crowded theater problem?

So is this invasion scheduled on the same day as the Rapture? ;-)

I did see some Canadian soldiers at a truck stop in St. Joseph, Missouri once. They bought some roast beef sandwiches.

And now a new hockey stadium is being built near Kansas City.

Should have seen it coming.

Uh huh... are you sure you're "retired" and not "honorably discharged due to psychiatric illness"?

Wait, you're saying that to a group of speechless people thinking if you're living in an alternative universe..............not in their houses controlled by their police state. Make up your mind.

Right-wing nuts like you said this 50 years ago. You can still hear these wacko predictions every day on alternative radio; it's like they haven't learned anything since the '50s.

In 1999 he said "so the takeover could happen at any given hour -- not a month away or anything."

He should really get together with those yahoos over on Raptards Ready and try to synchronize the invasion date to coincide with whoosh-fest. Maybe he can even given them a timetable for their looked for persecution from Pres. Obama.

Fascinating. I've never seen utter madness this close up before.
