Strange, really. Most quoted fundies would love to live in a theocracy, and generally give off the impression that Saudi Arabia is on the right track (but of course all hell-bound because they picked the wrong religion, etc).

While Tameric's blatantly wrong on his first point and presumably has some personal grudge and/or prejudice regarding Islam... he's kind of got a point at the end there.

Also, while his first point is wrong? He gets some kudos for 'even worse than in other holy scriptures.'

Edited to add: The second-to-last sentence ends with a question mark because it's implicit that I'm asking you to turn your attention to the subject it addresses (for reasons that the next sentence answers). The rising intonation you hear on a daily basis in rhetorical questions and the like employ this tactic, too.

But hey.

Maybe I'm secretly a fundie because I used punctuation mid-point. I guess expressing my own thoughts on the quote provided, using my own voice, makes me a troll!

@ Caretaker - dude, time to take a break from FSTDT, you are starting to pick up their language and even putting punctuation in strange places. Got to pace yourself lest you be named a troll.

1) I have no idea what you mean by 'pick up their language' and my punctuation is fine. Care to elaborate?

2) I've been contributing to FSTDT in the form of submitting quotes, commenting on the mainpage and joining in on the forums for a long time now. If anybody thinks I'm a troll, they have never seen a troll.

3) I was expressing my own opinion that while this quote is clearly anti-Islam and full of irony, it's just not that fundie.

Please, if you have any qualms with regular posters musing upon the actual fundie-value of these quotes, then go to Rapture Ready. They don't allow people to express individual opinions there, so you'd fit right in :D

Yeah. Wow. I think Saudi Arabia and Iran, both notorious theocracies, are oppressive and freedom-free.
