Quote# 64226

Just because Christians are more likely to go to prison doesn't mean they are more likely to commit crimes. For example, perhaps Christians are so honest that when they do commit crimes, they always turn themselves in.

Mister Spak

Or perhaps you are so desperate to deny observable reality that you make shit up.

Yes, we all know that police simply wait for good christians to turn themselves in after a crime is committed. Moron.

And if religion makes a person better, why are they committing crimes in the first place? Idiot.

WTF?

Perhaps - xians know that all they have to do is to ask sky-daddy to forgive them and he he has to. So, they go out & do whatever they want. As long as they don't get killed in the process, they can always renew thier Jebus fan club card.

Look into the the Mafia and the Catholic church. I am certain that a lot of the Mafiosi werew good Catholics and Confessed their sins...oh wait...<doh>..they were Catholcis, not real xians.

Just because mexican people are more likely to go to prison doesn't mean they are more likely to commit crimes. For example, perhaps mexican people are so honest that when they do commit crimes, they always turn themselves in.

That sentence works in manyways. Too bad most of them are untrue

and atheists are smart enough to cover up their crimes? and who's to say they were christian on entry to prisons? Maybe they converted in prison because your magical sky pixie is supposedly all forgiving, until you die, in which case if you haven't proverbially sucked his dick you get punished for all eternity. :/

Out of context the whole quote was - not Fundie at all

"Just because Christians are more likely to go to prison doesn't mean they are more likely to commit crimes. For example, perhaps Christians are so honest that when they do commit crimes, they always turn themselves in. Or perhaps they're not as clever as atheists, and thus more likely to be caught. You have to be careful interpreting statistics.
Also, keep in mind that atheism in the US is positively correlated with wealth, intelligence and education. All of those things are negatively correlated with one's chance of being imprisoned. Rates of atheism also tend to be lower among ethnic minorities in the US, and the US has a long history of over-policing minority groups."
