I'm AG (Assemblies of God) and our pastor performed an excorcism to a 9 year old possessed boy years back. He broke arms of two of the four grown men holding him down, but the excorcism worked, for the moment. But later on, the boy was by himself in his room, and was calling on his "demon friends" to come back into his body, and the family found him the next day, dead.

Want to make bets on whether or not he was resisting, just because he was being held down, the bones breaking were either accidents caused by the people holding him down, or complete fabrications, and that the idiots abused the poor boy until he died?
If you tried to force your excorcism on me I too would break your arms.
If this story is true (big if,) perhaps the boy died from injuries inflicted by AG excorcism goons the day before.
This story badly needs a reliable source citation.
Wow. In your fantasy world, then, demon friends are more powerful than Jesus.
What a shame. And a sham.
If the boy was all by himself, how do you know whom he was calling? Was there an autopsy? What was the cause of death? Any links or sources for verification of your claims? Because it sure looks like a fabrication.
On a side note, it doesn't take a whole lot of force to break somebody's arm in an armbar :)
I firmly believe this is an utter fabrication, but if it is true, then those men and that pastor deserve a hell of a lot more than broken arms. I'm thinking something involving car batteries and testicles.
"...the boy was by himself in his room, and was calling on his "demon friends" to come back into his body"
and you know this how?
I'm calling complete fabrication.
this is looking more like the suicide of the abused child to me.
ok, on your terms now, demons and everything. after you successfully exorcised him, he still called them back, to kill him...
even if all your bullshit is true, it's still looking like suicide to get away from you. that's not looking to good there.
Yeah, and a young couple left lover's lane after hearing there was a serial killer with a hook on the loose, and found a hook on the car's door handle, and a woman home alone heard noises in the bathroom but was reassured when her dog under the bed licked her hand. But then she got up and found her dog killed in the bathroom. Pull the other one.
Wow, yet another fundie Lying for Jesus(TM). What. A. Suprise.
With all the rampant, and with some fundies (~cough~Rapture Ready ~cough~) bordering on pathological, Lying for Jesus(TM) it makes me wonder if the have actually even ever opened a bible, much less read it. It appears that the fundie bible has only 8 commandments because they seem to have no trouble lying or bearing false witness , seeing as how they seem to do it on, at the very least, a daily basis while at the same time considering themselves to be more moral, more pious, and apparently more favoured by "god" than the people they look down on including most of their fellow christians .
"On a side note, it doesn't take a whole lot of force to break somebody's arm in an armbar :)"
Especially when it's the soft bones of a child.
That there's some A+ child-rearing there.
"and was calling on his "demon friends" to come back into his body,"
Or did he cry incoherently, which you simply decided to interpret as the above?
This is exactly the shit that goes on in churches that leads me to the conclusion that stupidity IN ALL FORMS, should be forcibly amputated from society, like a gangrenous toe is amputated. We can live without these fucktards quite well.
A child with obvious mental troubles, should we get him professional help? No we'll assume demons have possessed him and torture him until he kills himself.
This story is probably a fabrication but nevertheless that's just fucking sick.
Here's what I think really happened. The child was accidentally killed by those performing the exorcism or was very sick and instead of being taken to the hospital the family tried to pray the demons out, and the child died due to lack of treatment. The improbable details of broken arms and speaking to demons were added by the storyteller urban legend style.
Either that, or the child thought that between being killed by demons or being raised in an Assemblies of God family, he chose the lesser of two evils.
You know what might be true here. That the boy being exorcized ended up with broken arms and they left him to die locked away. There ARE events like that.
And believers will alter those events into these fan-fiction stories as damage control or "evidence" for demon possession.
Confused?
