HE VOLUNTEERED FOR THE SERVICE TOO GET A CKECK AND ALL THE BENIFITS AFFORDED, HEALTH CARE, GI BILL, ETC.
So did most of the other soldiers, what of it? Is it somehow "un-american" to expect compensation for your service?
NOW HE'S CRYING ABOUT BEING OVER THERE AND MAKING PUBLIC STATEMENTS DENOUNCING OUR PRESENCE THERE.
He's also likely making those statments with a Kalshnikov pointed at his head. Did you denounce McCain during the run up to the 08 election? He did the very same thing in Vietnam and he's still consider a war hero, so what in the fuck makes this soldier different?

That's likely what he expected when he joined. If you were there and had been captured by the Taliban then it would be you on that video. But instead you want to play armchair warrior and get your thrills vicariously and then attack their patriotism when they get captured while waging war on your behalf. If all americans had attitudes like yours then there wouldn't be anything worth defending.
