So are they hoping that mothers will give up their child so that they can foster it? that is like waiting for someone to have the pain of giving up a child It ruined marriage between a husband and wife, as they make a mockery of it, Also it ruined for two women who arent lesbians to walk down the street together as friends. or for two women to share an apt. People now look askance at those situations. where at one time, no one thought anything of it.

YOU may look askance at it. Personally, I couldn't care less if two ladies share an apartment or walk down the street together. But then, I'm not a bigot like you. Without such bigots, no one would think anything of it. Seems like you're the guys that are ruining society, not us.

Anyone who feels their marriage is threatened by what two people who have nothing to do with them are doing need to look a little more closely at their own life and a little less at their neighbor's. The biggest threat to your marriage is yourself, period.

Is it better for children to languish in orphanages, get shuffled around in the foster care system, or remain in abusive or neglectful homes, then get adopted by a same sex couple?

Anyone who assumes that two women walking down the street or sharing an apartment are lesbians is an idiot. Most people still think nothing of it.

Clean your own yard before you bitch about the one next door, lady. And quit using this issue as an excuse to avoid dealing with your own problems. This is a lame, cop-out answer to a valid question.

So, there are no children with homosexual parents now? Oh, yes, there are plenty of them. A male couple and a femal couple sometimes get together and have kids with each other; lots of fathers and mothers to honour.

I don't feel mocked by the fact that my friends, who love someone of the same sex, will also be able to marry in church. I feel happy for them, of course.

People are free to live their life their own way, as long as it doesn't hurt others. If two women walks down the street hand in hand, or share an apartment, the thought that they may be lovers might pop up. But that is far from looking askance at the situations, it's just a passing thought. The same thought might pop up when seeing a man and a woman walking down the street, or sharing an apartment. Doesn't mean it is so, they could also be good friends.

"at one time", when was that? In the book A Murder is Announced by Agatha Christie it is implied that Ms Murgatroyd and Ms Hinchcliff are more than just friends. (In a new film adaptation it is shown in plain wiew that they love each other.) That book is from 1950, weren't those the Good Old Days with Family Values and women who knew their place, when there were no Evul Ghays?

Considering that the commandment meant to "honor" your parents, that would apply to any primary caregiver(s) for a child, whether or not they're biologically related (or, for that matter, heterosexual or homosexual partners, married, single, or divorced) -- your argument falls flat on its face. And what about my personal favorite "family" arrangement in which children "belong to" the tribe or village, where all adults are caregivers?

Strange how I never look at a man and woman and think that they are heterosexuals. Why? I don't look at people as purely sexual beasts. To do so is a mental pathology. Eh, Sylvia? That's not what jumps to mind when I see two girls together on the street unless they are holding hands or exhibiting that sort of body language. And female (and male) friends still share apartments all the time and nobody thinks its "gay".

I think that it is you worrying that you appear homosexual in these situations because you have such low self-esteem and fear the judgment of strangers and those around you.

No, most people can tell the difference between two women living together and the lesbian couple I've mentioned that live across the lawn from me.

Hell, I get along better with men and would have no problem having one as "just a roommate." But then, that's probably beyond the comprehension of most of the regulars of YA.

My friend and I walk down the street together all the time. No one raises an eyebrow. We lived together and no one raised an eyebrow. We shared a hotel room this February and no one raised an eyebrow.

Now, what was that you were saying about gay marriage ruining your life? Just because your friend won't be seen in public with you or return your phone calls doesn't mean teh gheys got to her.
