Anyone who feels their marriage is threatened by what two people who have nothing to do with them are doing need to look a little more closely at their own life and a little less at their neighbor's. The biggest threat to your marriage is yourself, period.
Is it better for children to languish in orphanages, get shuffled around in the foster care system, or remain in abusive or neglectful homes, then get adopted by a same sex couple?

I don't feel mocked by the fact that my friends, who love someone of the same sex, will also be able to marry in church. I feel happy for them, of course.
People are free to live their life their own way, as long as it doesn't hurt others. If two women walks down the street hand in hand, or share an apartment, the thought that they may be lovers might pop up. But that is far from looking askance at the situations, it's just a passing thought. The same thought might pop up when seeing a man and a woman walking down the street, or sharing an apartment. Doesn't mean it is so, they could also be good friends.
"at one time", when was that? In the book A Murder is Announced by Agatha Christie it is implied that Ms Murgatroyd and Ms Hinchcliff are more than just friends. (In a new film adaptation it is shown in plain wiew that they love each other.) That book is from 1950, weren't those the Good Old Days with Family Values and women who knew their place, when there were no Evul Ghays?
Considering that the commandment meant to "honor" your parents, that would apply to any primary caregiver(s) for a child, whether or not they're biologically related (or, for that matter, heterosexual or homosexual partners, married, single, or divorced) -- your argument falls flat on its face. And what about my personal favorite "family" arrangement in which children "belong to" the tribe or village, where all adults are caregivers?

Strange how I never look at a man and woman and think that they are heterosexuals. Why? I don't look at people as purely sexual beasts. To do so is a mental pathology. Eh, Sylvia? That's not what jumps to mind when I see two girls together on the street unless they are holding hands or exhibiting that sort of body language. And female (and male) friends still share apartments all the time and nobody thinks its "gay".

My friend and I walk down the street together all the time. No one raises an eyebrow. We lived together and no one raised an eyebrow. We shared a hotel room this February and no one raised an eyebrow.

My friend and his partner took advantage of Connecticut's new law and are now married. They also have an adopted daughter. By the photos I've seen of her on his Facebook page, she's as happy and well-adjusted as any other kid. God's wrath has no come down on New England. When Rhode Island catches up, it will be the whole region.

They don't have to wait. There are thousands upon thousands of children -just in this country- waiting for someone to take them home. Yes, some of those happen to be babies, and yes, some people (many of them in heterosexual couples!) will wait in order to adopt a baby instead of an older child.

I'm in a group of about half a dozen female friends. We often go about our business in pairs or larger groups. Nobody looks at us funny. I know several girls who room with other girls. Nobody looks at them funny. Nobody thinks there's anything odd about them. Why? Because you can tell when people are friends and when they are more than friends. . . . I find it odd that it's ok for two men to walk down the street as friends or room together still. How are we sure -they're- not gay if we think all women going around together are lesbian?

My best friend and I (both girls) not only walk down numerous streets as friends (wtf else would we do? Walk around as enemies?) but we either hold hands or put an arm around one another, depending on the height difference caused by one pair of flats and one pair of heels.
We live in rough areas so we get called dykes a lot, but we don't give a shit. We're both bisexual, by the way, but our friendship is purely platonic.

WTF is this world salad? For a lot of kids in the foster system, ANY place to go would be nice, no matter if it's two men, two women, or a man and a woman. And who says anything about two women walking together as friends? I go places with my friends all the time and no one says anything. My cousin lives with another woman as roommates to split rent. Nothing going on there and I've never heard anyone say anything about it like, "Oh, they must be lesbians?!"

Unless you´re forced to have sex with a person of the same sex and marry them, I can´t see how they "ruin" it. Or why children adopted by homosexuals are more enabled not to honour their parents. What about the ones adopted by widowed people, single ones or divorced?. Again, inconsistency.

I'm a straight male, I walk down the street all the time with other straight males, and at one time I shared a house with no less than three other straight males. None of us were ever worried that we might be taken for gays, and as far as I know nobody ever read that into it. And if they did, who gives a fuck?
