This is a clear case of Poe, the person is being completely sarcastic on a page about the birther nonsense becoming an embarrassment for the GOP.
Really, what's with the quote mining lately? Is some fundie doing this so they can point at how we take things out of context?

Gotta agree with Antichrist, this was probably not written seriously. Had it come from, say, RR, I'd accept it readily, but I have my doubts on this one.

The number of the beast is 616.
If you start by adding the different figures, shouldn't you end the same way: 1+8=9. And then what? 3+3+3=9, but 333 has no significance, as far as I know.
Get a life! And soon, please! Whether you are serious or Poe, this is utter noncence.

pi = 3.14159 (to 5 decimal places)
3.14159 - 0.14159 = 3
3 + 10 = 13 (the unlucky number)
13 = 6 + 1 + 6 the real number of the beast! (Well, it has been ever since 666 was shown to be an error in translation.)
Therefore pi = the number of the beast.
The bible predicts this because it says something about 'evil circles' - well, I'm pretty sure it does - I can't be bothered to check the reference.

Eh, doesn't the Bible forbid this kind of numeromancy? Just like astrology, ouija boards etc? So why is Church Lady indulging in it? Besides, you can prove anything you want by juggling the numbers enough. It's really quite Harry Potter-ish, and should be anathemal to any True Christian TM

^^^ Correct. The bible explicitly forbids numerology, astrology and predicting the future.

Doesn't your BIBLE prohibit that?

@Antichrist Whats sad is seeing the list of un posted quotes when you submit a quote, there is quite a backlog.
Some which are better than this one.

Yes, 1+8=9, and 9=3+3+3, but with the magic wot is numerology, it could be said that:
9=3+3+3 or 333, and 9 is a rotated 6, which is a clue to transpose the rotated number with the repeating number, so replace the 3s with 6s and you get 666. Clear as day!
or
9=3+6, which can also be read as 3 6s, which is, of course 666!
If only there weren't so many syllables in the word "numerology," it could replace "new math" in the titular song by Tom Lehrer.
"It's so simple, so very simple, that only a fundie can do it! (And believe in it.)"
(Even if the original message is a poe, it's always fun to bash crap like numerology!)

No, they have it all wrong. If you take the total number of letters in Pres. Obama's name (18) and add the number of words (3) you get 21.
