Quote# 64426

I do not believe that atheists want proof before believing. They have all the proof they need, and are just rejecting God.

Something has to exist before it can be denied.

Thus the atheist has already heard about God, or he would be ignorant rather than in denial.

Something has to exist before it can be denied. I deny the existence of leprechauns. Oh, wait a minute ....

I deny the existence of their being hundreds of hot babes in my room. Seriously, I do not believe they are in here. None of them are!

"Something has to exist before it can be denied."

By this logic, it's impossible to truthfully say that ANYTHING does not exist. Your denial of the existence of the Flying Spaghetti Monster only proves that He exists!

"Something has to exist before it can be denied."

So then santa, the tooth fairy, the easter bunny, Zeuss, Thor, Isis, etc.., etc.. nust exist, because I am sure you deny them. .... This is what we call LOGIC FAIL.

"They have all the proof they need, and are just rejecting God."

Wrong.

"Something has to exist before it can be denied."

Wrong.

"Thus the atheist has already heard about God"

Generally, right.

"or he would be ignorant rather than in denial."

Right and then Wrong.

You wouldn't know proof if it bit you on the butt and was wearing an "I am the proof you seek" sign.

All the "proof" you and your ilk provide is ill-gather, ill-read, ill-understood and heavily dosed with desperate wishful thinking.

You're in no position to accuse others of being in denial. Religion relies upon followers such as you being in denial.

Just because we have a concept of something that doesn't make it real. This isn't Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.

"They have all the proof they need, and are just rejecting God."

Where? Where is the evidence of your god? In a book full of errors and lies, written by ignorant men and edited many, many, many times over? Show me the evidence. Point at something, anything, in the real world and explain why it's evidence for the existence of your god.

"Something has to exist before it can be denied."

Bollocks. I deny the existence of invisible pink unicorns and celestial chinaware orbiting the sun; by your "logic" that means they both exist, right?

Then by all means show me the proof of Odin's existence and I'll stop rejecting him.

If only you could make things real simply by denying their existence. I can think of plenty of things I'd love to deny the existence of, starting with the TARDIS in my back garden.

And, you know, world peace and an end to poverty and hunger and so on, but I'm denying the TARDIS first, damnit.

So that's why they don't deny the existence of dragons, satyrs and unicorns. And I thought it was because they were mentioned in the Bible. Silly me.

So by your logic, there really is a leprechaun at the end of a rainbow! Cool! I am going to go get my knife and go get my pot of gold.

After all, you deny leprechauns, and they have to exist for you to deny them.

"I do not believe that atheists want proof before believing."

No, not "proof". I just want substantial, empirical, verifiable evidence in favor of your claims. Just like I want for any other outrageous claims people make.

"They have all the proof they need, and are just rejecting God."

I see no evidence of your god or the god(s) of anyone else. If you have some, please provide it.

"Something has to exist before it can be denied."

I emphatically deny that there is a fluffy pink space bunny currently in orbit around Phobos.

Are you now going to tell me that there is a fluffy pink space bunny currently in orbit around Phobos else I could not possibly deny that there is?

"Thus the atheist has already heard about God, or he would be ignorant rather than in denial."

One cannot be "in denial" of something unless they know that something is true (or there is at least a possibility of it being true) and simply refuse to accept it.

Denying the existence of something based on complete and total lack of evidence is much different than denying it exists simply because I know it does but would rather it didn't.

One is healthy skepticism and the other is irrational.
