Uh...GW DID say that. Infact, every President probably has at some point. Just because he's asking them to doesn't mean he's forcing them into it, he's just declaring his intentions.

All US Presidents have at some point told Congress that they want something done now. That doesn't mean Congress listens to them.

Can anyone imagine how apoplectic the media would have been if GW had said such a thing?
He did. That's how we ended up in Iraq.

@ NecroVMX,motion seconded. Dislike of Obama and originating on RR isn't quite enough to make it fundie.

Apparently you have forgotten about the Iraq war.

Hitler was more intelligent than GWB, at least in the beginning. He knew how to please the masses to get his wishes. GWB couldn't even string five words together to form a sentence.
I do not know how the American system works, but isn't the President sort of the Chairman of the US? Isn't that was president means, really? Shouldn't the Congress consider his wishes/demands, and get back to him about whatever action they are meaning to take?

Hmmmm, I'm guessing you were out of the country from 2000-2008, eh OnceWasLost? 'Cause I sure didn't hear you fucktards complaining about George "You're either with us or agin' us" Bush.

Who called himself the Decider? Which political party keeps whining about unelected liberal activist judges?

Bush also said a dictatorship was OK with him, "as long as I'm the dictator."
Can you imagine what the reaction would be if Obama said that?
Oh, and to refresh some memories:
"Congress must now pass a final bill that makes the Medicare system work better for America's seniors," Bush said in his radio address taped before he arrived at his Texas ranch for the weekend."

RR is one of the most racist forums on the web, in line with Free Republic and Stormfront.
Talk about twisting Christianity to the unrecognizable. If Jesus had come out of the Middle East today, they would have killed him and called him a communistic terrorist.

Uh, what do you call executive order without Congresses approval at all? Bush did that and I didn't see many news agencies blinking.

Its not that they don't like him. Its that they are screaming about the death of our country because he's president. If you know anyone that screamed and freaked out that way when Bush was president, submit it.
Though, this should be more in conspiracy theorists, not fundies, from my look at it.

this starts a thread of apeshit insanity that includes one posting tht suggests that Obama could murder republicans in a closed session in order to get his measures through.
If that isn't fundie-focussed I'm not quite sure what is....

Obama has little regard for the constitution? He taught Constitutional law for 12 years, I'm sure he's very familiar with the document and has a high regard for it. Have any of you assholes even read it? Shit, has BUSH even read it? He sure didn't act like it.

Yeah, it's ironic that now the raptards and other assorted right-fringe loonies are harping on the Constitutional precepts of government.
When the Idiot Prince of Bush proclaimed "I am President, I can do what I want," these assholes didn't see any problem with that.
Dumbya was a 'corporate' president, which is in essence a puppet of the Board of Directors.
Carlyle Group, perhaps?

Dubya was too stupid to do that- on the other hand, Cheney was the real brains behind the scenes.
Kinda like dubya was Darth Vader and Cheney was the Emperor.
