Christians are the best vampire hunters and witch finders. Us Christians (I haven't been inside of a church or prayed in a long time but I was raised as a Christian) pretty much exterminated the vampires and if that ain't virtue I'll kiss your ass AND I'll eat my hat.

I hopped over to take a look, and personally I see very little wrong with a guy who also says -

you know what, I'll play along.

my criticism is the idea that you "exterminated" anybody is total bull. you failed to exterminate the old pagan religions, witchcraft, real or imagined, or heresy. they even tried to kill off the Knights Templar, and failed.

let's just go along with it and say, yes, vampires.
there are way too many wannabe vampires throughout the various circles of cults, nightclubs, blood fetishists, goths, even satanists every so often, and lets not forget the most numerous group, Anne Rice and twilight fans. so many that any "real" vampire with an IQ over 50 could hide without even trying.

the holy roman empire has been "exterminating" people all it's life and has never finished off a single group. many of those groups are now healthier than ever.

E.g. the church of Satan. really, their growing every year.

a little OT here but this thread is a good example.

I've been noticing lately that a lot of posters here seem to just read the quote provided and then jump right in with a comment. It's like they don't even take the time what others have already posted.

Case in point, early on it was shown that (a) this is from an RPG forum and (b) Sir Saladin was amking a joking as Joules pointed out by showing some of his (Saladin's) other posts on that thread.

Then folks come here, think they are being witty but are just making the same tired comments someone else already has..."omg, I hope a poe" "it's gotta be a troll" "hope you meet a real vampire" etc.etc. Yadda yadda

FSTDTers - please, take the time to read what others here have posted before commenting - saves you from looking foolish...IMHO

Then that doesn't qualify as a very good christian then, in fact most fundamentalist will say that you are not even a christian at all, and based on your description I'm inclined to agree with them. Just being raised christian doesn't mean fuck all, I was raised christian and now I'm an atheist, I was raised to be an ultra conservative right winger and now I'm not. Just being raised as something don't mean shit.

Fuckery is fuckery. Any crazy thing found in are forum post and you can bet your ass that there is someone out there that actually believe the same thing. Hell I live in Fundieland, I actually know people who believe that there are vampires and christian tasked by god out there hunting them.

I'd actually say cyborgs, or all out robots/drones are the best vampire hunters. Vampires and Nosferatu (BL-strain HMHVV victims) have extremely high speed and reflexes: even though their bodies reject and regenerated any cyber replacements they may have had, you should still consider them as nasty as a .5 essence street-samurai.

Fact is, as long as you kill the thing outright, making sure its not just down but well out, they aren't that big a deal for a competant team.

Honestly though, just send a couple of assault drones after them; a cyber-mastiff or two with a few guns on'em can quickly do a single vampire in. Most spirits are VERY happy to go after them; see if you can get a very woody earth type to help. Alergy to wood can be used here.
