This you tube link explains how going to the cash for clunkers web site is a bad idea.
Why is it a bad idea ?.....
The reason will scare you to death.
If you click the accept button on the agreement then it makes YOUR COMPUTER THE PROPERTY OF THE US GOVERNMENT TO USE HOWEVER THEY WANT.
It means they can use all your files for any thing they want and watch everything you do on the internet.
This is scary ......

Glenn Beck said this? Dude, that's batshit, even for him.
I'd suggest you not try to access areas of the system you have no reason to access.
Besides, that wording was changed. Get over it.
I looked at the Glenn Beck segment on Youtube. At the beginning of the clip he says that the computer the auto dealer uses to connect to the CARS.gov website has to accept the privacy act and security statement in order to continue. Somehow he translates that to everyone else's computer and never corrects it.
Then again, what would you expect from Glenn Beck and Fox News?
Glenn Beck took the computer from guy's office?
"What the hell Glenn? That was my computer. Mine. Not yours. What if it was a present, huh? God you're an asshole. Oh what, you're going to cry?"
You'd really think that Glenn Beck was setting Fox up for a lawsuit. How can he get away with such bullshit without someone suing him for slander?
@ Musicalbookworm
Yeah, but we all know that Snopes is part of the conspiracy. Why else would they spend so much time saying things aren't true?
Sigh....Yet another outrageous lie from Glen Beck.
He's telling everyone that the website where car buyers go to register for their rebates has this requirement, when in reality there is a DIFFERENT website which is only for car DEALERS, where they have to register transactions. On that website, they are told that their business computers are subject to inspection/auditing. This is to deter fraud. There is NO such requirement or notice on the website for consumers. It does NOT apply to anyone's personal home computers.
You dumbfucks, you think the govt can really take control of your computer? And even if they could why the fuck would they care?
The govt can't even stop hackers from getting into their shit. And it's not hard to disconnect your internet for like 5 seconds to break their "control".
I'm sick of the stupid experts they get on TV who know even less about computers than me.
You know, the basic problem with conspiracy theorists is not that they are so desperate to uncover a conspiracy and save the world or whatever. It's that they are jealous they are not part of the conspiracy. Being part of a global conspiracy would be so cool. Imagine ruling the world like that. It's just...well, no one does. And the conspiracy theorists wish conspiracies existed at the same time they wish they were a part of one.
Believe you me, having access to all my files is the LAST thing the Government would ever want.
They could practically use them as a biological weapon.
It's like when I read MAD magazine about how parents are total idiots for beleiving spam and there was a picture of a mom and her son that said "Roger! I turned off your P.C. because a virus could have entered and melted it! But first, it coul've charged $10 for each mail sent!". Same thing here. Did Glennie beleive again a chain mail? Uh-oh! I think we've found the source of his "information" when he bashes on FOX.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
