Well...I knew this was Coming for a long time. I always thought that one day our freedom would be taken away. I always knew back in my younger years, some people were giving the Government TOO MUCH POWER and that these people in the Government would eventually go on the Path OF EVIL. Power Hungry & Greed....Fuels these People in Demon City. or Demonic Control City.

There will be Forced Abortions & Forced Suicides. (these are Grave Sins, Evil to the Fullest) Religious Freedom Beliefs...
And Also,
This Healthcare is intruding on ones rights to Religious Freedoms of not having Healthcare. Someone doesn't want it, Okay the Gov't says "but you will be FINED"...Fined on Something you don't believe in.
That is Intrusion on your Belief System.

No One is Talking about these Issues....On Being FINED on Something you Don't Believe in...Being Fined on Religous Beliefs....Not one Radio Host has talked on this point, not even one Real Republican rep., if there are anymore.

I'm thinking one of us here doesn't understand the Constitution, and it isn't me.

I didn't know that not having medical insurance is something it's possible to "not believe in". Obviously any sane person who can afford health insurance is damn well going to have it. Young, supposedly health people get cancer, have heart attacks, aneurisms, etc. Health insurance is an expensive item, but someone who has a serious medical condition and doesn't have it is totally fucked in this country.

What? I know some pretty fundy people but they all think we should take advantage of health care and it's silly not to.

Meh. Have a waiver for these wierdos that say they personally don't want care (only applicable to adults, and not any minors in their care), and since they refuse care they also waive their right to any sort of legal action that they may desire to pursue as a result of their lack of care (other than to change their mind about wanting care).

Since when did socialised healthcare (and lets not forget Americans do have socialised policing, fire services, roads...) lead to mandatory euthanasia and abortions? Lets look at a country with a national health service - say, the UK - and see if choice is removed, if one is forced to have medical treatment, or if you're ever denied treatment because you can't pay for it.

Lets see. You still have a choice of where to go, whether to seek medical help or not, or to - with health insurance - go private. The only thing you mention that we don't get a choice on is euthanasia because its illegal. So your first point seems spurious.

Jehova's Witnesses are renowned for not wanting, say, blood transfusions, and if they tell medical professionals they don't want one, they won't get one. And they'll die because they're stupid. But the point is that they're not being forced to do something against their religious beliefs. So that's insane point number two for you.

And, of course, under the auspices of the NHS, everyone in the country gets access to the same level of care, no matter how rich or poor they are. We get emergency treatment immediately and without questions, we get really cheap medicine because its largely subsidised by the government. To me that's better than dying horribly because my HMO won't release funds for my treatment. Call me old fashioned like that.

tl:dr; you're an idiot, like everyone else on RR. I hope America does get national healthcare, it'll be the best thing for it in decades.

Since when is public Healthcare a belief?
If it is then also are taxes. I don´t believe in taxes...nevertheless I would be fined or even thrown into prison if I would refuse to pay them...so the government is intrzuding my right to religious freedom of not having to pay taxes

Any health care bill must contain language making it OK for fundies to not have health insurance or access to health care.* Their only health care option will be to pray, and under no circumstances will they be allowed medical treatment in the event they have cancer or are in a car accident.

* Obviously this will only apply to adults. Any children of fundies will be treated as needed.

Also in my Playboy this month they reported on an article in the Journal of Health (I think that's the one). In that study the more religious a person was the more likely he or she was to demand extreme measures be taken when suffering from terminal conditions. ... Seems like they would want to pull the plug so they could see Jaysus sooner?
